It may still happen. Foley has managed to avoid the authorities so far. How many Americans have the legal consul and health benefits that allow them to avoid being arrested and check into rehab - all between Friday night and Sunday morning?

The page might want to apologize to him for faking the text messages. It is just breaking (2:45 PM EST) that the text messages were a page prank because they knew Foley "liked" boys...They were just joking around online and the messages got picked up by Democratic operatives. Won't that be a kick in the head for the Dems if it is proven. Maybe that is why the page hired a lawyer....he knew the prank was about to get busted....hmmmmm?
That being said, Foley is a creep, and made himself a target for scandal by his behavior. But I think this whole thing may very well backfire on the Dems if it is proven that this "scandal" was a political dirty trick to influence the election.

I ask myself since days if someone has ever apologized to the pages who have suffered from the abuse. I have not heard a single word.

I believe this is the new republican ethic, that the victim should apologies to the perpetrator. After all no republican can do no wrong, except when (s)he is running against another republican in a primary election, then anything is fair and acceptable if it gets you elected.

Oh come on...why should he apologize to his accomplice???
I think this punk should make himself known...the one who wasn't so easily "seduced" and continued that smutty conversation with him. I think he's afraid of being branded a "fairy". Those little bastards knew damned well what they were doing..."maybe I'll give him a hand job, see my azz and get a cushy politcal job in DC...".
I live here, dear...the city is full of that!

No, he should sue ABC and become a millionaire. I think he will. He's hired Timothy McVeigh's lawyer.
