"I will have no part in the creation of a constitutional double-standard to benefit the President. He is not above the law. If an ordinary citizen committed these crimes, he would go to jail." - Bill Frist

"What is on trial here is the truth and the rule of law" - James Sensenbrenner

"This nation sits at a crossroads. One direction points to the higher road of the rule of law. Sometimes hard, sometimes unpleasant, this path relies on truth, justice and the rigorous application of the principle that no man is above the law. Now, the other road is the path of least resistance. This is where we start making exceptions to our laws based on poll numbers and spin control. This is when we pitch the law completely overboard when the mood fits us, when we ignore the facts in order to cover up the truth. No man is above the law, and no man is below the law. That's the principle that we all hold very dear in this country." - Tom Delay

I really like his values and what he stands for. He has a great past and seems like he would be president for the people, but what he going against him. He is African American and are people ready for a black president? I don't see why not. Second his name everytime its said sounds like Osama. You know that guy 9/11, but no connection at all. He is back by Oprah, so all the ladies will vote for him. If not, who do you think is a presidential hopeful?

Which is more important... To bicker about who is to blame for 9/11 or to work together to make sure another 9/11 never occurs again?

Which is more important.. To embolden potential terrorist extremists by showing division between the people of the US or to put our differences aside and unite to fight the extremists that want to bring us harm?

Which is more important... Proving a political point of view and weakening our influence around the world or proving to the world that regardless of our own differences inside our country that we will put those differences aside to protect and defend our country?

What are you willing to compromise on to insure the tranquility of our country?

also note that this man was ALREADY convicted of child indecency. so this ONE illegal is responsible for ruining a young girls life AND killing a cop AND leaving 5 more children fatherless.

A job is a place where you go everyday and do various tasks and have certain obligations. At the end of a certain term every month you will be handed a "pay check". It will look similair to your government check but it will be one you have actually earned.

Pretty nifty idea huh?

By the way, before you have baby number 17, try to plan ahead. If you don't want a baby, try to obstain or use protection, do not kill said baby.

Just a few drops of wisdom as you try to mature in life.

Illegals From Terror-Sponsoring Nations at Large in US
By Kevin Mooney
CNSNews
August 08, 2006
Almost half of the illegal aliens arriving in the U.S. from terrorist-sponsoring or "special interest" nations in the past few years have been released into the American population following their apprehension. This key finding is published in an internal audit of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
The so-called "catch and release" policies have allowed more than 45,000 illegal aliens from countries that are well known for their anti-American views or considered "hotbeds of Islamic fundamentalism" to be freed.
U.S. Rep. Ted Poe (R-Texas), in conversations with sheriffs operating along the Texas-Mexico border, learned that illegal aliens of Middle Eastern descent have been able to blend into the culture south of the U.S. border and pass themselves off as Mexicans.

"They learn Spanish and assimilate into the population," Poe said. "Coming across the Canadian border they would be more conspicuous."

is there anything our 2 countries do to improve relations?
keeping in mind that most canadians would rather see our small military focus on peacekeeping missions. maybe deploying our troops to the border?
should we be focused on a give and take relationship? or just try to respect our respective neighbours wishes? i can't help fealing that the american ADMINISTRATION kinda takes advantage of us, by not looking at the big picture, decisions they make in washingtion affects lives all over the globe.

Im 26 and I've been voting for the presidental election twice ever since i am allowed to vote. I live in California and what i've noticed is that the votes for big states doesnt really count because of the Electoral votes for the small states. If a president can win the Popular vote but still lose the election, why should i even bother voting when the vote for my states doesnt count? Even if my state voted for some guy, it doesnt really matter does it? New York and California are the most irrelevant states in terms of voting purposes i have ever seen just because most american live in those states. Voting is great if you get your voice heard but the past two presidentual elections, it seems like the election is fixed. And if the Pupular vote doesnt count, why have it.

According to the New Orleans Lovefest that was "Monday Night Football" last night, there still is a significant number of Katrina victims living in FEMA trailers.

I sympathize with anyone who lost so much in that storm. But ...
Didn't these people received $2,000 debit cards?
Don't they receive job-search counseling?
Is this an example of poverty being a voluntary condition?
What further role should government play in their relocation?

"House GOP leaders on Monday did manage to insert a narrow border security provision into a homeland security spending bill that would make it illegal to dig tunnels under the border."

Last I heard Hastert was trying to get the gang provisions in there too, wonder if that is still on his agenda?

Unfortunately, passing the House is just the start of the battle, particularly where Congress is taking off on Saturday.

I have a neighbor w/ an adult son who is profoundly retarded. He is not a child. The man is dd and nonverbal. He has a tendency to run in random directions so his mother holds onto him and drags him around by the arm so he doesnt take off. He always smells like pee. Always. She brings him outside on cold days in shorts and barefoot. Often she makes him sit in the mud while she talks to friends outside. He sits and eats dirt or bangs his head while she talks and she ignores it.Their house smells real bad like pee because everything has been soaked. Often he has dried fecal matter all down his legs or up his back. The man has a very bad skin infection from chewing on his hands. His teeth are rotten. His mom always begs for food and tells me he's hungry. I give them food everytime they come begging.
Am I being too critical? Is all this because of his disability or is it neglect? who would I talk to about my concerns? is there an agency or something? should I mind my own busines

For some reason, it always irks me whenever I'm in a restaraunt and someone blows their nose while at their table. It always seems to happen and I view it as poor manners. Anyways, a few years back I finally got fed up enough that I started throwing things at whoever was blowing their nose. Usually what I throw ends up being a dinner roll, but there have been times when the items thrown have consisted of salt shakers and other heavy objects. My aim is quite good and I have no problem striking someone from several tables distant.

Most of the time, the recipient of my wrath is just stunned and has no idea who threw the object. Sometimes it has resulted in outbursts where the target will start yelling at everyone around. In the extreme few cases, it has resulted in me fighting some nimrod out in the parking lot. Anyways, this sort of action has never involved the police, yet, and seems to have resulted in fewer people blowing their noses at tables in my area. Should I continue?
