After all, isn't liberalism supposed to be about helping out those who can't defend themselves and those who don't have a voice ?

Actually, shortly after Roe v Wade, many prominent liberals were pro-life: Jesse Jackson, Dennis Kuchinich, Al Gore, Dick Gephardt, and yes, even Ted Kennedy were pro-life. Did they cease to believe unborn children were alive or did they simply decide that the support of radical feminists was more... viable politically ?

I cannot help but wonder. Do you think the authorities will panic if they were to find out subsequenly that Katrina was more of a terrorist attack rather than a natural disaster? Do you think it would be unnerving if the terrorists can carry out such acts?

Ok, I've been with my wife & her son since he was 4 years old. She left his abusive father when he was an infant, so he has never known his "real" Dad. She was collecting child support fron him, but he stopped paying it. She has no idea where he is, or how to find him. He owes well over $20,000 and it continues to grow. She has 2 state angienies working on this. Her son has grown to call me Dad, and I love this kid to death. He just turned 11 and started at a new school. When he came home the other day, he said some kids wondered why he had different last name than his Mom & "Dad". I told him if wanted the same last name as me, I would have to adopt him. He is all for the idea. My questions are: 1. Where do I start the adoption process, and 2. How will this affect the past due child support? We no longer need/want the continued monthly payments, just the back past due owed. We currently live in New Jersey. Thanks for your help.

Do you agree that:

1) By and large, NO ONE on either side of the political aisle did enough to prevent 9/11? I think that's fair enough. I don't think it really helps to point fingers, except to give the terrorists a chuckle. Just find the problems and fix them!

2) The Bush administration may not feel it has the ability to "go all out" for bin Laden? I wonder whether they feel having him "isolated" is the best we can do. Pakistan has many people who are sympathetic to al-Qaeda and their president is barely holding on. Would a massive assault do more than get many Americans killed, inflame the population there and destabilize this nuclear power? I assume special forces are working on this, and maybe the reports of Osama's death are an attempt to smoke him out - to make him appear.

3) I think many Americans would agree that Bush has made mistakes, but not that he lied or is evil or personally profiting. Don't war opponents hurt their own case by saying so?

Thanks.

My background. The first President I ever voted for was President Kennedy. So now you've dated me.

I don't know if it is just the years have passed, but the only Democratic President, or even candidate for that matter, I loved, was Kennedy.

President Johnson kind of went insane as President, but many of you are too young to remember.

President Carter was a kneejerk reaction and he was at best OK.

Do you think that President Clinton will follow in the footsteps of Carter. I think Carter has done great charity since leaving office but has become emotionally unstable when speaking in public.

Question: Do you think that President Clinton will go on to do great charity but look a little insane in public on non-charity issues?

I voted for him twice but he really is vain to the point of being a little nuts. No Republican rants or silliness please. I want to know about your thoughts on President Clinton's future.

here he is again. president clinton interviewed on foxhole news, and once again he is asked to defend his service as president. maybe if the gop congress and kenneth starr didn't spend 33 million of our tax dollars to get clinton out of office because of a whitewater land deal, and hound him similar to a neocon witch hunt, until they found a overweight intern to give him a cigar, he could of concentrated more on national defense instead of hillary finding out about his affair. i am sick and tired of these right wing, war mongering, war profiting, arab hugging, dirty tricking, guns for hostages, election fixing, abortion hating then killing our children with war, two faced born again christian, trillion dollar national debting characters called the government of the people. not my people. maybe yours if you have a six figure income with a protfolio of diversified stocks and mutuals. not like me. I WORK FOR A LIVING. god bless president clinton.

On issues like global warming and evolutionary biology >99% of the professionals who have spent their entire lives studying, debating among themselves, working long hours, competing for funding, publishing research papers are dismissed by some of the general public and the politicians who know very little about the topic are believed.

I find this to be beyond all understanding.

Could someone give me a good reason why? And save the BS about scientists being liberals. Scientists are professionals first.

My friend/owner of a gas station told us this. Why "all of a sudden" is this? If this is true It makes me want to just do away with everyone in power and just bring in a whole new group! I'm sick of the way things are so hard on the "working" "middle class" It's like the Governments way of saying anyone who makes less salary than the upper class can kiss their *ss. Because they make/take so much $ and fill up their hummer and go that extra mile just to run US over and not think twice about it! Oh yeah, Gov., keep up the good samaritin/charity work sending food and money too other countries, don't even worry about the poor and needy in the U.S. Thanks to all of us civilians who do charity work, donations, and anything we can afford to, or make the time to do, YOU make a difference to "our fellow Americans" and anyone else in the U.S. who are less fortunate. Even though our family is doggy paddling just to keep our heads above water, the future sounds like a lot more waves ahead.
