what to expect?
I have a friend that is having to go to court today on 5 traffice tickets: 1). Speeding 75 in a 60. 2)Attempt to Evade a State trooper 3)Driving with a revoked license 4) Reckless Driving 5) Having an open container of alcohol.

what will the penalities be for all of these? will he have to go to jail and for how long? We live in alabama. thanks

Sorry to say your friend should go to jail. Giving him/her some time to really evaluate his/her bad choices. And should be grateful no one was hurt or worse killed. What an ill responsible human being. He was putting himself as well as the lives of innocent by standers in danger. that is inexcusable. Driving Drunk or while under the influence is something that can and should be prevented at all costs. Innocent lives are lost on a daily basis around the country due to people driving under the influence on a daily basis and this needs to stop.

Different states are different. In California your friend would probably get a small amount of county jail time and then have it reduced to time served while waiting for arrainment. Your friend would then get probation for a few years. There are several ways that these things can go.

In Alabama, I have no idea.

Don't have a crystal ball - but I'm betting he'll do some time.


Too many factors that would increase jail time to give any kind of idea really (I think)...

i don't know what the law says in your state, but they'll probably throw him in jail...

they may put him in jail if it is our country
