why waste valuable police time handing yourself in?

just become your own judge & jury and sentenceyourself ...

for example, pay the shop owner's descendents the price of a freddo frog WITH 50 year's compound interest ...

and go seek a shrink - you seem to be obsessed with obeying rules like a "good boy", rather than taking responsibility like an adult - maybe you need to understand what makes you supress your rebelious urges ...

50 years ago . Were you a child ? I would go to the store and get a hold of the owner of it and tell them what you did back then . And tell them how much it has bothered you , and you want to repay some how . I would feel the same way if it were me . I also taught my children and a grandchild , never steal . If you cant' afford it put it on a wish list , so when you cann afford it you can then buy it , or put something into layaway and pay on it till you get it out , but never , never steal . That is also Gods comandment .

i hardly think they would be interested in that, especially given the time that has passed. but if you need closure you can go back to the shop if it's still there and give them the equivalent price of a chocolate bar. so that way you can see it as you paying back a long over due credit for the chocolate bar.
