Illegals From Terror-Sponsoring Nations at Large in US

Almost half of the illegal aliens arriving in the U.S. from terrorist-sponsoring or "special interest" nations in the past few years have been released into the American population following their apprehension. This key finding is published in an internal audit of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
The so-called "catch and release" policies have allowed more than 45,000 illegal aliens from countries that are well known for their anti-American views or considered "hotbeds of Islamic fundamentalism" to be freed.
U.S. Rep. Ted Poe (R-Texas), in conversations with sheriffs operating along the Texas-Mexico border, learned that illegal aliens of Middle Eastern descent have been able to blend into the culture south of the U.S. border and pass themselves off as Mexicans.
"They learn Spanish and assimilate into the population," Poe said. "Coming across the Canadian border they would be more conspicuous."

Don't worry about Nancy, she seems to hate it when you have authority for what you say.
Part of that is the idea that we can't hold people more than 6 months if their homelands either practice torture or won't take them, unless we can prove a crime they can be locked up for. There is an anti-gangland provision Hastert is trying to attach to the Homeland Security funding bill which would end that requirement, so they can be held longer. There are other issues involved but this would help. (It is aimed at MS-13 type gangs where members are set free because El Salvedor is considered unsafe to return them to, as I understand it.)
Write your Senator. They are trying to let the House Bills, including this one, die.

I personally know Ted Poe!
He is a remarkable man. A serious criminal judge here in Houston prior to serving in our House of Rep.
He is a huge advocate for the victims and has a firm understanding of the legal system. He is only stating a "fact", not an personal opinion and it is a serious issue.
The Mexican border is our weakest link because like Canada, we love our neighbor and we are totally integrated here. Its not a issue for us, Most of the legal and illegal person crossing that border are wonderful people. Its scary that among our friends is a terrorist. I find more comfort in the words of a native Texan like Ted Poe.
Not "the BUSH" since they picked the largest states to make a political home, not a real one.

Pressure your representative to make HR 4437 law. Make sure that they know that if they refuse this VERY popular bill, they will be voted out of office. As a matter of fact, this November 4, you have the opportunity to vote people out of office. Simply go to this website and look up your state's politician's voting record on immigration issues. If you see that they are the cause of the problem, vote against them. Be sure to send them a letter with a copy of their report card and let them know this is the reason they were voted out of office. If this doesn't frankly end their political career, they will be unlikely to make the same mistake again, given a second chance. Even if they aren't voted out of office, the huge dip in their numbers that is going to happen this election will be a strong deterrent to voting outside the will of their constituents, once it is traced back to this issue, which your letter will let them know. This is no small thing. Hundreds of thousands of people just like you are doing the same. Fax machines, mailboxes, personal meeting schedules are all packed with people complaining about this. Adding your voice, and more importantly, your vote, underlines the fact that malfeasance on the immigration issue will end one's political career.

During the past week the Community Protection Act was passed, it is to affirm the states role in apprehending illegals. If you want to fix the problems, look at who voted against this bill and help them be removed from Congress.
Also the Immigration Law Enforcement Act was passed. If you want to fix the problems, look at who voted against this bill and help them be removed from Congress.
Remove from Congress those who refuse to enforce the immigration laws and those who refuse to help control our borders.
People wake up, it is your representatives in Congress that make the laws, the pres only enforces them. If you have a problem look at your reps and vote against them if they are not representing you on this important issue.

Well, if we lock out the Mexicans, we will also lock out anyone trying to tag along across the river.

Maybe this is why Bush is trying to cozy up to the latino population so as to get them to turn over middle-easterners that just aren't like the others.
