Everyone with a common sense should want to do something about Darfur....something should have been done long ago, it should never have been allowed to reach it's present state! Thank the UN for that (not Israel BTW). But these "Human Rights" activists really don't like to involve themselves until it's genocide and they can make a big public display of their generosity (and when the damage is done so they can get on their soapboxes for political causes)

Call me crazy but I don't think the United States should add troops to the incident in Darfur at all. The U.S. is already spread thin enough and until we can either stabilize Afghanistan and Iraq or leave them, then the U.N. and African Union are going to have to deal with the conflict on their own.
In the end I believe in non-intervention and I'm sorry but if these people really fear losing their lives then they need to learn to defend themselves. There are already too many people on this planet and why should I care if two groups want to bash heads 10k miles away?
Plus... I doubt the U.S.'s high officials care much about a bunch of Muslims killing each other. They'll be waiting this one out with a smile on their face for a while...

No. The reason is that if Saddam was such a ruthless killer and we had to do something about it, why aren't we doing something in other parts of the world where human life is being threatened? Actually, I don't care if the troops are American or not. Somebody needs to do something. Anybody is better than nobody.

It's called genocide, most esimates say 400,000 people have died there, so I guess maybe the LIb's see that and say hey thats not a good thing, maybe we should do something about it. Also, under Saddam he killed as many Iraqis in his however many years of rule as civilans we have killed since bein in Iraq, look it up it's true.

does not say something approximately Israel maximum well known the Ecstasy commerce and that i might in no way have faith they might out produce American college scholars. If each American that needed one had a pot plant interior the back backyard we does no longer could spend funds killing human beings over it. The prisons might have room for murderers and thieves. infants does no longer have criminal information with the aid of fact of a substance no longer one 10th as deadly as beer. we'd all giggle extra. u . s . needs to deliver troops to Pakistan and capture the Taliban and their opium growers interior the middle and wipe them out as quickly as and for all. Even the reasonable Muslims could like that.

Good point. The reason is that Darfor has become the cause ce'le'bre of the Hollywood set. It's funny that Christian organizations have been calling for help in the Sudan for years.

You are right, but I think they are concentrating on human rights, which is what libs do - but keep in mind they are always the first to complain about high gas prices, but they want us out of iraq, then they complain human rights in other countries, but they are always the first to treat their own children like slaves.
Can't stand them - get in your subarus with your John Kerry stickers and drive to a commune in Oregon, stay there.

It's called genocide, dumb @$$. We wouldn't be going it alone. We'd be supporting troops from the African Union and from the U.N.
How about you and your buddies Shiraz and John Skerry actually do some research for once.
