If anyone out there thought it was bad to have US panhandlers asking for money on a busy street corner, now illegals are coming across the border and doing the same thing, anyone that lives near a border town knows it's true,I can understand the reason, since mexico has lost a lot of tourists due to their drug wars and now their president elect wars, the panhandlers from mexico are out of buisness since most of their income came from tourists, why should our own panhandlers also have to take crap from these illegals,is anything sacred anymore?

This saber rattling has helped us turn an enemy into an ally, but doesn't usually work with countries such as North Korea or Iran.

Why will you vote FOR her. Not against another. Only Hillary's atributes. Whining about another only shows how uninformed you are.

My friend is not a US citizen but wants to get a non-diver’s license. She has everything she needs to get one, except for her birth certificate, which is in Korean. Can she get her license if her Korean birth certificate is in English? And if she can, is it valid in the US? Thanks in advance for all the people who took the time to answer it.

I see lots American bashing, but I guess that is because people just love to complain, I certainly do! I'm not going to pick best answer, so you might as well answer truthly.

I like America because if you are French and come to America we welcome you with open arms. If go to France you will ALWAYS be a foreigner no matter how you try to fit in, and that includes your kids. This is true of most countries. You know I really believe America is a state of mind. You can be in America and not get it, or in another country an already be an American. That piece of paper whether it is a citizenship or birth certificate isn't the proof.

Why is it the military families get benifits and rent free but a single mom with no other half has to apply for benifits and gets called welfare trash? Do we need to rethink about where our taxes are going? Do you believe some children should have more privelidges when their parents refuse to work just because one half is in the military. Shouldnt all adults be incouraged to work, including military wives? Military families vrs. Civilian families. I work hard for everything we have, just wonder why our taxes go to this. Why do we turn the other cheak when its a military house hold, but call a single parent house hold trash? Should she not be required to get a job when her man goes away like every other single parent?

If all the homes in america got solar panels and we started strongly supporting wind energy, our energy dependence in the middle east would be significantly reduced and I'm sure it would cost about the same as the war in Iraq has cost so far, if not less. Why aren't we doing it?

In truth, Bush hasnt really done anything wrong. In fact I think he has gotten it mostly right. Seems like the only truth we can spread about Bush is making jokes about his grammar. Just doesnt feel right to me. I have always been staunch liberal but somehow it just feels "yucky". I am getting tired of whining for whinings sake. Seems like our Dem leaders just want us to hate Bush no matter what. Why? I used to feel guilty and naughty when I thought like this but now it seems redeeming almost "cleansing" in a way. I hope my liberal friends dont hate me and disown me like they did Lieberman but if we could all be honest, I mean truly honest I think we would agree our side isnt offering us anything. Its going to be really hard to look some conservative acquaintances in the eye and say " you were right" but I think I am going to do it. It doesnt feel right fighting for lies anymore.

I am not asking if torture is right, wrong, humane or inhumane - I'm not asking if it should or shouldn't be used in our war on terror.

It just seems to me that if the information gained by torture is never reliable, as many people have indicated in their answers, then it wouldn't even be an issue because no one would torture anyone if they knew the information they obtained was bogus.

Obviously, when these people try and validate their answer by the WMD information we initially gathered from captured insurgents, they don't seem to realize that these terrorists really believed that Saddam had these weapons - and, hense, they were telling the "truth" as best they knew it.

My husband is a sheriff's deputy and has been for 13 years, prior to that was military during desert storm. We have been married for 15 years this november.

I am concerned about this company that has repedely tried to convince him to come to either iraq, or he has the choice of two other places and train the iraqy police officers. He will have to be there for a year at a time and then he has the option to re-up. I am freaking out. We have 3 girls. We need him.
Has anyone been over there doing this?
Was it dangerous?
Did you get to contact home often?
Were there married men there, or mostly single?
He checked out some website that shows who has died over there and there were some of these private contracted securities companies workers.
Will the sheriffs dept. even save his job for him?
Help!
Scared and confused.

Are there any websites that address this topic? Short of taking the FMLA leave. I need to keep my job,but my child needs his mother too. Please give me any info you have on this subject. I work for a union organization if this helps.
