This saber rattling has helped us turn an enemy into an ally, but doesn't usually work with countries such as North Korea or Iran.

The trouble with this way of thinking is that it stokes even more hatred towards the United States. And by the way I have no doubt that Armitage or at least someone close to the hierarchy, said those very same words to Pakistan.

At the time, the United States felt almost desperate. She had undergone an unfathomable horror. She didn't quite know which way to turn; how to think; what to believe. She needed allies, and considering the source of the attacks, she felt it necessary to weed out those countries whose support she wasn't certain of. She was doing what she thought she had to do, no matter the cost.

Someone made up: "You're either with us or you're with the terrorists" It was a smart tactic for the United States.. It was a scare tactic for those who were on the receiving end.

Yes it's true, but it should be retold to Pakistan again after signing a peace treaty with the Taliban allowing the terrorists to move freely across the border.

No, maybe just the bronze age. Mushy plays both sides of the ball and members of his government are playing for the other team. Why we ever share any top secret information with these guys is anybody's guess. We might as well call the enemy first to tell them we are coming.

Sounds allot like "TERRORISTIC THREATS" to me. And it NEVER turns an enemy into an ally, all it does is make the hatred go underground.

No, it was not right.

Because it's not possible to "bomb a county back to the stone age". If we were really to bomb them as much as that implies, then we would simply kill them all off, and that is OUTRIGHT MURDER AND GENOCIDE.
The US would be no worse than Hitler.

This is not true.......
When our man, (can't think of name right now) was talking to the president of Pakistan, his person who translated what he said, threw that in, even though it was not true......Why? No one know why he lied..........His translater should be fired!
