False advertising. The American people right now are scared and reactionary. The President and his political machine have convinced a lot of people that somehow they are safer with him at the helm. Another example is that a lot of Christians connote GW Bush with religion - anti-gay, anti-abortion, etc. Then there are the people who think that the Republican party will lower their taxes despite evidence to the contrary.

I believe in God and I did not vote for Bush.Im a Democrat. His religion can not be for everyone as all the world is made up of different beliefs.Things are so crazy right now the war ,the gas , cost of living ,minimum wage, insurance for the elderly and the young .Fighting hunger and Aids. All these things are important and I dont see he made them change for the people. But there is always hope!

I love how Libertarians always have to point out their affiliation in a thread that doesnt apply to them. News flash guys: YOU DON'T MATTER. LIBERTARIANISM IS A HEARTLESS AND PISSANT MINOR LITTLE TINY DOESNT REALLY MATTER PARTY, kthxbye.
I think Tofu Jesus is a pretty hard core Republican conservitive, while John Skerry, John Skerry II, and John Skerry III dance the fine line between left wing Democrats and Socialists.

people vote for Bush because he's not afraid to take a stand (good or bad) and then stand by it (good or bad). He doesn't feel the need to put people down because they think different than him. As for what the Dems say, well read the papers, watch the news, etc, the garbage goes on forever. They dont like him because hes not afraid to stand for something other than himself.
Have you ever heard a Dem in the last forty years take a stand for anything that doesn't profit him in the long run?

I'm independent.
Most Democrats are not nearly liberal enough for me (except for a few heroes, such as Cynthia McKinney and Bernie Sanders), but I'd usually vote for Democrat since they are the lesser of two evils.

as a conservative we vote for the guy with our party name, democrats are known for only voting when a candidate fulfills their requirements, so a lot of them don't vote.

You shouldn't go with a party. You should have your own mind. But anyway, I'm a casual savage. Peace.
