My husband says that he would support me. He knows I am not happy at my dead end job. I really want $$ for college. I want to get in shape before we have children. It seems like the answer. What am I overlooking though?? It would be 8 weeks basic training and then I would be able to come home and go to a civilian school.

If they think he is intelligent then those who think so MUST be less intelligent than Bush...right?

Want to see just how smart our leader is? Do a video search with these two key words: bush sovereign

Doe you think that Bush knows he is not nearly as educated/intelligent as any one else in the white house? It must be very stressful knowing he is an idiot, or maybe he is blissfully ignorant.

"And there is no reason, Bob, that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women"
Deja Vu with Sen. John Kerry, 12/04/05

"Our country is founded on a sham. Our forefathers were slave-owning rich white guys who wanted it their way. So when I see the American flag, I go, 'Oh my God, you're insulting me.' That you can have a gay parade on Christopher Street in New York, with naked men and women on a float cheering, 'We're here, we're queer!' - that's what makes my heart swell. Not the flag, but a gay naked man or woman burning the flag. I get choked up with pride."
-Garafolo, co-host on Air America, 1998

"Have we gone to war yet?" she asked sarcastically, early on. "We (expletive) deserve to get bombed. Bring it on." Later she yelled, "Let's get rid of all the economic (expletive) this country represents! Bring it on, I hope the Muslims win!
- Chrissie Hynde

I am curious, for those of you who are for the death penalty, you would be willing to sentence someone to death, correct?

Once that person is sentenced, could YOU then flip the switch, pull the cord, inject the poison, etc. that would ultimately kill a man/woman?

Do you see a difference between sentencing someone to death and being the one to actually kill an individual?

I got pulled over for speeding. According to the police officer I was going at 80 mph but he just wrote 60 mph on the ticket. He told me he could take me to jail and impound my car. I weight 185 lbs , 5'7 and the police wrote 160 lbs and 5'8 so if he didn't get my weight right and my height he could made a mistake also.
I told him to check my record it's clean.
I just want to know if I can win this in court if he doesn't have any proof of my speeding.
Thanks

The famous Surman on the Mount in the New Testiment reads like Jesus had a liberal agenda. "Love thy neighbor"

My belief is that they are cheating the system because just because thy serve in Iraq, a war I don't support, does not mean that they are citizens. They are still on American bases and territory illegally and regardless of what they do they are still illegal. This is just my opinion, however, and I would like to see if people agree or disagree with me.

Democrats in the US support abortion, and fight against parents having a choice of schools to sent their children to. So, it is fair to say that democrats support killing babies, while they object to better education for children?

I am a Democrat, and I understand that everyone will not have the same views as myself, and I respect others views. I am considering switching to an Independent party simply because I am sick of Democrats and Republicans bickering and name calling. We are all adults, aren't we? Why can we not respect each others views without being so critical? Why do we feel the need to push our views onto everyone else?

I mean I see Bono is the spokesman for The One campaign, is it possible for one person without the big bucks to start, for example, a community outreach program that would get enough media attention for funds? Or does every organization start with a multimillionaire?

If there were no borders a man moving from Mexico to Texas will be considered hard working not an illegal alien. After seeing pictures of the earth from space all these years, it is disappointing that statemanship, religious or even military leadership has not developed that will allow us to see and address our needs as one. Thousands of years after the great wall of China became a tourist attraction and relic of a distant unimaginative past it is pathetic to see the United States and Isreal with their democratic, capitalistic and religious ideals building walls along man-made borders. Considering the recent out breaks of SARS, bird flu and the insular North Korea's testing of long range missiles the lack of intelligent debates coming out of Washington about the immigration is very alarming. God Bless us all.
