I have a very good idea. Since our own government chose to spend billions of dollars constructing our own weapons of mass destruction that we so very badly condem other nations for doing let's just put all those tax dollars to good use. Simply aim 1 missle at Bagdad , one at Terrain , One at Damascus , one at Yemen , one at Mecca , about 6 at North Korea LOL , and the rest at Moscow because my being a retired veteran I will never trust Russians anyway. That should put an end to all our problems. But even after half the planet is leveled into a raido active parking lot I believe that people will still find something to ***** about.
Oh and Kathy before you start flapping your yipp I suggest you try serving 16 years active duty in the US Marines as I did and get yourself combat wounded. Or are you one of the cowards that runs away ? Why don't you finish school first and then Maybe then you might have your own opinion and not the one your teacher gave you.

Are you worried about what's happening in Iraq or in the USA? Your question is remedial at best. And then there is "How do we as people...." What else would we be except for people? It's not all about oil and greed. If anything they (the iraqi government) was greedy and flaunted their wealth in front of the peasant people of the country.

The reason gas prices just spiked to $3.00+ per gallon doesn't have anything to do with the war. It has to do with the North Korean missle testing that happened earlier this week. It sends a wave of panic throughout the world and therefore causes a mental shortage of supply, which isn't true.

1) In the midterm elections, vote out everyone you can whom you feel does not have America's best interests at heart.

2) Support those candidates (for whatever party) that you feel can manifest the change yu want to see. And by support, not only do I mean money, but time. Knock on doors, spread the word.

3) Deal in fact and avoid invectives and diatribes as you promote the one you want.

4) Give well-thought out and properly supported arguments as you why certain candidates should not be returned to office, again, avoiding smears, half-truths and other negative approaches. You can define a person and not accuse them of being a tool for certain lobbyists.

5) Remain positive.

Finish getting Iraq in a state that they can take care of themselves, then get the hell out.

But, I don't agree with all the protesting. Yes, the reasons we went there in the first place suck, but we did already hit the hornets nest. Nothing we can do about changing the past. But, we don't see as much fist-throwing about things that are killing tens or hundreds of thousands of people each year like drunk driving, tobacco use, drugs, and violence, as we hear ranting about the couple thousand unfortunate sacrificed lives of brave military men and women.

To stop this war we must take the congress we have now and not reelect them. We must create a complete shakeup in the 98 percent incumbent House of Representatives. After all, how many of us have written our representatives, and had them pretty much tell you that they don't give a damn about your opinion. To stop this war we must retake control rather than letting Halliburton, Boeing, and Oil Compainies buy out our Senators and Representatives. We must fight!

America makes money from war, if we stop this war there will be another. It is really sad that our young men and women are over there for no good reason. We must continue to pray for our soliders safe return home. PRAY PRAY and PRAY until it those stop! PRAYER is what we can do as Americans!

Where's the oil at?! Where's the greed at?! The last i checked I was still paying over $3 a gallon for gas.
We are either going to fight over there or over here...I'd rather fight over there.

To stop anyupcoming and ongoing wars in the world, we must get rid of CIA, FIB, RAW, ISI, RED ARMY, SHIN BET, MOSAD,KGB etc....etc...
These are the ignition switches for each and every war.

First, become educated and learn facts rather than propaganda. The war will end when we've finished our job. Only cowards run away.
