Before there was even the word "liberal" there was God...think about that one...

he would probably oppose two heterosexual porn stars getting married under his name too, or shows called The Bachelor that completely throw the "sanctity of marriage" out the window...but oh well...Jesus, in my opinion, was definately liberal for his time, i don't see how that can be argued, but as far as being a modern liberal...i believe Jesus would be one to hear an issue before he makes his mind up on it, so i dont think he'd be a modern liberal nor a modern conservative

Of course he was a liberal! Everything he did he wanted others to do too and that is liberal. Love thy neighbor doesn't mean, "love thy neighbor unless he is black, or Mexican, or gay..."
He loved everyone equally and that is what liberals strive for.

Since when does "loving thy neigbor" make you a liberal? I'm sure he would be apalled by the concept of gays marrying under his name.

I'm not saying gay marriage is wrong, I'm saying HE would oppose it. Thank goodness he didn't write the constitution.

Jesus transcended both liberalism and conservatism, and included the righteous aspects of each one of these polarized perspectives. Jesus wasn't polarized: he was enlightened.

Considering he would be against abortion, gay marriage, theft, violence, and sloth, I would say Jesus was Libertarian.
