Maliki's Master Plan
A national reconciliation plan for Iraq calls for a timetable for withdrawal of U.S. troops and, controversially, amnesty for insurgents who attacked American and Iraqi soldiers.

A timetable for withdrawal of occupation troops from Iraq. Amnesty for all insurgents who attacked U.S. and Iraqi military targets. Release of all security detainees from U.S. and Iraqi prisons.

Those sound like the demands of some of the insurgents themselves, and in fact they are. But they're also key clauses of a national reconciliation plan drafted by new Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, who will unveil it Sunday.

Equally contentious from the U.S. point of view is the idea of granting amnesty to insurgents who have attacked and killed American soldiers. That is almost taken as a given by Iraqi negotiators, however.

My thought is that through war, is the only way to ensure less violence afterwards. If there were less nations in the world all these problems would be less complicated, and through war is the only way to settle conflicts between nations, meaning dismantling the violent nations. and claiming their territories. and placing laws that prevents nation wide wars. as long as we allow the terroristic nations to survive, there will always be war. and only through war can we end war. What are your thoughts?

When World War three starts I believe it will be between the older nations, who embrace the old ways of life, such as China, N.Korea, Iran, Egypt, and many others, against the newer nations who embrace technology and new ways, such as America, Great Britain, all of Europ, Canada, and Japan, and a few others. What are your thoughts toward this and who do you believe will ally with who? what will be the outcome of the war? And who will Russia join? they are a question mark.

Some have said that the destruction of the Diebold voting machines by voters on Election day would be simple acts of vandalism, not acts of patriotism or high ethical virtue, asa I have argued. What do you think? Should angry voters across the nation band together on election day, scheming of how to wreak destruction on these machines? The argument for the Boston Tea Party was taxation without representation. Is that a valid argument, in this case, for the destruction of property again, 230 years later? Certainly the ruse of representation was proffered by England, much as it is to us in the form of these machines. Yet the founding fathers rejected their overtures for modest or specious representation, for a true democratic republic. Ought we do the same?

this isn't the case of rape or whatever you can think of...this is a woman found out she got pregnant by her boyfried, instead of telling him about it, she gets an abortion...what if the boyfriend wanted the baby...i know its a womans body...but it takes two to make the baby...why doesn't it take to two to decide for the abortion...i think it is a BIG lie that many woman groups claim its thier body its their choice...how did you get pregnant...not by yourself...so you should be responsible for the decision alone...if the woman decides to have the baby the man has to support it...the man never had a choice in the matter...where is the mans choice in abortion...please don't say when he decided to have sex...again it takes TWO...a woman can have a "choice" to have an abortion without telling the father...but the father cannot have a "choice" in it nor have a choice to not support it or not...where is gender equality...9 months of 900(75 yrs of life) months isn't a long time..

I have just gotton back from a day trip to London. I was near the underground and there was a crowd gathering watching a street magician so I went to have a look. I saw a man aged about 20 unzip a ladys backpack and take out her purse. I grabbed his other arm and put it behind his back and told him to give here it back, she turned around and took it back and thanked me. The young man then violently struggled and ended up I believe breaking his arm. The police arrived and I was arrested for assault, along with the man for theft. Even though the lady and several people argued my case I was taken to a cop shopa nd held for 7 hours. I am from Hull and now the case had been transferred to Hull and I have to appear before a magistrate next week, I was charged with assault and battery, or something similar. Does anyone think this is right, should I have just turned a blind eye.

was told in Jan. widow's disability was overlooked and would be corrected in approx. 2 weeks. That was 6 mo. ago. Can not get answers nor will dis. lawyer help now that he has been paid. Am getting Dis. on my SS#, but should have gotten it on widow's. I've called them at least 18 times/diff. answer each time. Was awarded widow's going back to my disb. date-9/25/02. Have called every number can find regarding SS payments-would like to write to judge who gave award, but no address avaiable. Have asked time and time again for any numbers I can call to get help. Am always told to give it a couple more weeks. my 1st award was dated 11/4/05 (wrong case) should have been the higher of mine or my husband's (widow's) was told it was overlooked and would be corrected immediately. It is now almost 7/06. Any suggestions? Thank you

I think some people need to study history unrevised. America has every right to build it's defense systems. America doesn't go around the World bragging about it's nuclear capabilities unlike North Korea. Neither does Israel. Israel has every right to have them too. I think them not using their nukes on their animal-like neighbors illustrates that quite well. So much anti-Americanism.
You all really should get a grip and start thinking for yourselves instead of listening to anti-American propaganda. Such fools!!!!
Of course, this message goes to you with inferiority complexes regarding the U.S.

No. I don't think so. People wake up and pay attention. If America was that ambitious to test out their nukes, Iraq wouldn't be right now and probably the region around Iraq. The U.S. has that for last resort. But, you who cry about U.S. Nukes, don't cry about Iran always threatening to blow Isreal off the land, or North Korea's back and forth Nuke development talks, do you? It's because the U.S. has been made into the World's villain. The U.S. has played diplomatically with Iran and North Korea. If we were such a Nuke happy Country, ready to test them out, North Korea and Iran wouldn't exist. We wouldn't of sacrificed our Troops in Iraq and Afhanistan to help build a better life for those people who are interested in a non-Taliban leadership. Isn't it the peaceniks who want to let those people suffering under murderous tyrant leaders to further suffer because the U.S. shouldn't be the World's police?
Is there peace for those people who suffer? It's the Tyrants of the World, remember
