Shouldn't these clowns have acted, rather than prayed?

i was very impressed by their standing together and singing hymns. there were no party lines that day. praying was absolutely the best thing they could do that day or any day. and what in the world would they have done -- what "actions"? then again, why harp on it now, nearly 5 years later....

There is already laws against terrorism, so not much to do, praying was the best thinig they could do esp till they found most of the facts
The are not police, fire, or hospital workers, staying out of the way was the best

Beginning with a prayer in honor of those who died was absolutely appropriate. What actions would you have had them take?

They were just working up a bit of religious frenzy to make sure they didn't under-react.
