I have been preoccupied with this question because it causes us to examine how we define the group of people to which we have a relationship and for which we feel a responsibility.

For example, if your family is as big as your school district, you won't believe in property taxes going into a state pool and distributed to all school districts equally based on need. If your family is as big is your state, you will believe in richer school districts funding poor school districts within the same state.

For example, if your family is as bigger than your country, you may believe that immigrants should be allowed the basic priviledges of U.S. citizens such as in-state tuition to state schools or Medicaid.

If you family ends at your driveway, you may think, "Me for me and you for you; who gives a crap about anybody outside my circle."

Just curious, how big is YOUR family and why?

Almost EVERY prominent Dem. served
in the military, (MANY have seen combat),
yet VERY FEW prominent in the GOP
have ever served their country.

And THEY are the BRAVE LEADERS?

Whats more Patriotic, serving in the military
or getting a deferment (or 4) to "skip" the war?

its easy to act tough when you
don't know what war is like.

During the 1995-1996 Republican presidential primaries, Patrick Buchanan
wrote an editorial in The Wall Street Journal beginning, "Since the
Nixon era the dollar has fallen 75 percent against the yen, 60 percent
against the mark." What trade policies do you suppose he was promoting?
He went on to outline a series of tariffs. Agree or disagree with his
policies.

Okay to make a long story short, a work van came out of a parking lot hit me knocked me into on coming traffic, took off running. The detectives caught up with him later. So i lost my car, my job, and 2 months later im still suffering from pain in my lower back. I hired a lawyer immediatly jand after going to injury clinic all this time 2 days ago my lawyers dropped my case because the other party didnt have any insurance(i only had min. liability) and they didnt want to do any legal work. So now i'm talking to this guys lawyer myself. He told me to fax everything Monday morning. OKay now my problem is this, My hip or lower back not sure is messed up the 2 months of therapy did nto help, i need a Mri but cant afford it, How much am i entitled as far as pain and suffering. And do you think the lawyer is going to send me a bill even though they didnt do any work? The injury clinic told me not to come back unless i got another lawyer.....Are they going to send me a big bill?

The Motto of the United States Marine Corps--Latin for always faithful.
Why is it in Latin?
I always thought this meant Simply Free. I finally just learned what it meant on Y/A! See...sometimes things CAN be learned on here!

I am not mexican, but it bother me a litlle the way Americans pick on them all the time, to say that illegals = Mexicans is very ignorant, in this country there are illegals from ALL OVER THE WORD, not just Mexico, and one more thing, I think is unjust to call all illegals criminal.

I want to see how many others agree or disagree with me. America can send all this money to help other countries feed thier people, while our own people have the hardest time getting any help from our own contry. There are people here that are living in shacks and can barely feed thier children, yet they work there butts off to make ends meet and it saddens me to see all the money being spent on countries that breed like rats. What do you think?
