Okay to make a long story short, a work van came out of a parking lot hit me knocked me into on coming traffic, took off running. The detectives caught up with him later. So i lost my car, my job, and 2 months later im still suffering from pain in my lower back. I hired a lawyer immediatly jand after going to injury clinic all this time 2 days ago my lawyers dropped my case because the other party didnt have any insurance(i only had min. liability) and they didnt want to do any legal work. So now i'm talking to this guys lawyer myself. He told me to fax everything Monday morning. OKay now my problem is this, My hip or lower back not sure is messed up the 2 months of therapy did nto help, i need a Mri but cant afford it, How much am i entitled as far as pain and suffering. And do you think the lawyer is going to send me a bill even though they didnt do any work? The injury clinic told me not to come back unless i got another lawyer.....Are they going to send me a big bill?

Actually he refuses to give me any insurance information and i think he hired the lawyer because he doesnt have any insurance and there were 3 cars involved.

Tell your lawyer to do his job or you will A) report him to the bar for neglecting a legal matter entrusted to him and B) sue him for breach of contract and legal malpractice. Speaking as a lawyer myself, I can NOT drop a client on the basis the Respondent doesn't have insurance!

Next point...was the driver charged with operating without insurance? I bet there is a policy in effect...but the driver was not listed on the policy...therefore you can still sue the company that owned the vehicle as well as make a claim against the drivers personal policy if any is in effect at the time of the accident

Hope this helps....to not attempt to settle this yourself! You don't even know the extent of your damages!

he must have insurance or a lawyer wouldnt be contacting you . the company is liable if it was a company vehicle. Dont send them anything they have no intention of paying just trying to get you to pin down a story later
