i wish you understood. i had a personal experience in mexico this summer. I spoke with some illegal immigrants in texas. they lived in trailers that were dirty and run down, but they called it their "heaven" they couldnt even imagine a better life and the loved every second of life in the USA. even if they worked in fields making minimum wage. they were grateful for everythign they had. this may sound fine and dandy, and it didnt really impact me until i went into mexico.

right across the rio grande. there was a strip of houses on a dirt road in Reynosa I visited. they were really shacks made of old billboard signs and scrap wood. Their homes were the size of a small bedroom and they had no water or electricity. a woman there told me of her struggles. many times if the roads are bad, trucks won't come back there to sell them water. they have to use dirty water from a channel near the homes and the worst is that they don't even have rights or title to their land. they work in fields during the day from dawn to dusk for 10-15 dollars and 4 of it goes to transportation. they can't have refridgerators or stoves. nothing. its horrific. i wish you could see what i saw. it would change your entire perspective on immigration....

everyone deserves the right to a happy life. if mexico can't give it to the people. let them live a happy life here. we need to loosen our laws to make it easier for them to come over legally. b/c they want to be legal, its a tough situation for all

Because the Mexican government makes the people live in poverty and work for very dirt cheap wages, so they flock here even illigaly just to work for sane wages and not be impoverished.

let's see...why would you have to learn spanish....ooohh maybe because you are an employee and your customer speaks spanish?? Customer is always right so suck it up or quit and get another job where your company doesn't depend on spanish speaking customers, because without those people the company you work wouldn't even afford to employ you. Besides a lot of them pay taxes so they have the right to speak whatever language they damn choose, it's in the constitution you that you support, right?
