Well, I'm a republican & combat veteran & I happen to agree with the both of them that Vietnam, Beruit, & Somolia were all examples of "cut & run," and that if we'd stuck it out in each of those places that 9/11 would never have happened, in fact terrorism would be a worthless tactic. I agree with them, and as such do not want to see us do it again & inspire further & much worse violence & war down the road. You think if we'd not cut & run in those instances that there would be any insurgent in Iraq right now trying to bleed us till the public & media force us out? It is exactly those cut & run incedents & the ramifications we've seen because of them that should tell you we can never quit & never surrender now that we've started.

You sure thinks its funny. How hard would you laugh when the draft is restored because Bush and his friends have ruined the all Volunteer Military.
I would guess that you do not know that many of our veterans are surviving those IED's and suffering brain damaging as a result.
Just how long do you think the Iraq War should continue? Until everyone of our surviving troop has a severe concussion!
Don't try to blame Kerry or FDR for this disaster. This mess started on 9-ll with Bush as President and continues to this day. He and his supports can share the blame. But I doubt that the Republicans will stand-up and admit their responsiblity.

Well we did cut and run from Beirut under Reagan after the Barracks blast:
On October 23, 1983, a Marine barracks in Lebanon was bombed, causing the highest peacetime losses to the Corps in its history (220 Marines of the 24th MAU were killed) and leading to the American withdrawal from Lebanon.
Beirut
Operation United Shield was the name given to the US military operation of evacuating all remaining 6,200 UN peacekeeping troops from Somalia from January to March of 1995, the troops were made up of Americans, Pakistanis and Egyptians. (Indian, Zimbabwean, and Malaysian units had already disengaged in late 1994).
General Peay of the United States Army and Lieutenant Gen. Anthony C. Zinni (Commander of the I Marine Expeditionary Force) were given command of the operation which saw the last troops brought to Mogadishu, and then entirely disengaged. They arranged to use 4,000 troops to cover the withdrawal and prevent further casualties, and a sea-borne coalition was made up of American, Italian, Pakistani, French, British, and Malaysian naval vessels through the Indian Ocean.
What is so humorous about it, we lost a lot of men and we did evacuate both places! Who cares whether Murtha and Osama agree. Probably many do!
Why is it that people blame Clinton, when it was Bush, after Clinton was elected and 2 weeks before he was sworn in, committed troops to Somolia without even telling the incoming president. Talk about backstabbing!

Do you find it "Humorous" that Bush's war plan was a 35 page pamphlet that just said "We WILL Be Victorious" and came out 3 yrs AFTER the war started?

So what. I'll bet they also agree that the sky is blue. It doesn't mean they have common goals.
