According to 70 percent of the people he can't!

People are employed, in fact MORE people are employed than when Clinton was in office.

We have NOT had another 9-11, and that is a good thing. I really could go on and on, but I KNOW you won't listen and you don't want to hear anything GOOD. All you want is BAD news. And OMG, PULEEEZE stop blaming natural disasters on Bush! He had NOTHING to do with Katrina, and if you were to have an understanding of municipal responsibilities, you'd know that Nagin really, really messed up. NOT the president.

Of course he can HANDLE his job. If he couldn't he wouldn't be in office right now. What a moronic question! Can you people EVER get over hatred?

Do you think he has? I can list many reasons why I believe he has not held his end of the bargain:

Katrina - the whole lot of them were responsible for that fiasco. Sure, unemployment is down... but when the largest percentage of your workers are making minimum wage, exactly how is that a happy picture? Have we seen any relief at the gas pump, and does it look like we will? No forward progression there... The new prescription programs for the elderly were set up in the most inefficient manner, largely so the Prez could benefit his friendly companies with the proceeds. I could go on, but I have grown so tired of complaining about the things that are wrong and have gone wrong since Bush took office. Largely, the meandering occupation of Iraq is worst of all. Forget it already - if they all want to get to their 9726 virgins faster, let them. We have problems here we have to fix. Big ones.

A recession is a decline in a rustic's gross kinfolk product (GDP), or adverse actual financial boost, for 2 or greater successive quarters of a 12 months. GDP became 0.6% interior the 4th quarter final 12 months. GDP will in all hazard be adverse this quarter and the subsequent, because of the housing slowdown, greater oil costs, and inflation inflicting the buyer to have much less disposable earnings (additionally affecting the U.S. economic device, as shopper spending bills for 2 thirds of GDP)= recession. Presidents have a tendency to attend some 12 months after the recession has all started to maintain shopper self assurance up (that's lagging).

cantcu - Don't be so ignorant.

First of all, his approval rating is at 36%. Only 54% disapprove and 10% neither approve nor disapprove. This does not mean that 54% do not think he can handle the job ... it means they disapprove of the way he handles it.

Interesting to note, though, that his approval rating was only 45% when he was re-elected with over 50% of the vote. One might conclude that, although over half of the population does not approve of his job performance, they know he is doing what is necessary.

Either that, or poll numbers are twisted to portray a certain point of view ...

He is already handling for last two terms. Question is what way he has handled? Has it benefitted the USA and the World at large. It is too early to judge. History alone is the best judge of statesmen. Bush a statesman?

No, and that's why I'm hoping Al Gore will run for President. I'm a female Democrat, and was hoping that Hillary would pan out; however, she's still in favor of this blasted war, so I will not support her. Right now, I don't care what Al Gore is saying about not running---he's the man, and I hope he steps up to the plate (that's a baseball term for you Brits, by the way).
