I think that the biggest problem we are facing today is Social Security. By the time I get to be 55 their will no longer be SS for me and even though I am young I look forward to a retirement some day. With people living longer it's taking more money out of our pockets, and we won't get to enjoy it in the feature.

If there were to be another Amnesty granted, it would be the ONLY way George W. Bush could possibly be remembered in the long run as a good president, despite the entire Saddam/War bs.. Remember when Ronald Reagan passed away... Those who benefited from the Amnesty lined the highways to pay their respects...
If Amnesty were granted, those who say the economy would suffer is WRONG... b/c the 60+ estimated illegals would have to PAY to become legal... It would probably cost between 800-1000$ a person... b/c it costs about 700 now to become an American Legally... So if you do the math... 60,000,000 x 800$ = 48 billion dollars, not to mention all the additional jobs created for the dept of immigration, for the SS department.
Also think about the possiblity of having 60 million new minority voters... Think about how it will change America, b/c change is what keeps Madonna on top after soo many years...
The only problems I see would be with Medical, but that could easily be solved with a different type of plan... meaning If there were to be an amnesty, rather than just 3 years of living in the US to become a citizen. They could just change the number of years to say 10... and then while they are legal but not yet citizens, they cannot enroll in Medical but there would be a different type of health plan... similar to medical but different...
Also housing, but I don't believe that would be a HUGE problem, b/c as you know Amnesty is only granted to those Illegals who can prove that they have been living in the United States, without commiting a felony, for a set number of years. So that means obviously they're already living here, so aside from the constructing of NEW houses, I don't think the lack of low income housing would be an bigger problem than it already is...
Crowding of the schools would be another problem.. but like the housing situation, it probably would change slightly...
Also for those who do NOT know about immigration requirements, those who are petitioned to be change their status from visitors or illegal to permanent residents or legal, sign affadavits stating that they will not and cannot receive any type of government welfare until they become full american citizens... You also must provide 3 years of financials to prove that this soon to be resident will NOT be a financial burden on the US... That is NOW... so if the same requirements are their... then they could NOT go on welfare...
Legitimizing the Illegals will create more jobs, more revenue, more tax dollars into america... Of course there are the unforeseens, and we are not fortune tellers, but I believe more would come out of it, than bad...

Amnesty is a huge problem. As soon as they said that illegals were coming in as fast as they could. As for condtions for amnesty, you can't give it to the people that just came. The bill passed says that you have to prove you have been here for 5 years. There is no way anyone can know for sure who has been here for 5 years though. So now when politicians think they are giving amnesty to 5 million people they will be givig it to 15 million people. This will be more difficult and more expensive then they thought. They will see how much of a problem it was and how many more problems its keeps creating. Then they will look at all the republicans that were against amnesty and see that they were right AGAIN

First of all, nobody is calling it amnesty. Second, this bill will never make it past the House of Reps., at least not in its present form. The House of Reps see it as amnesty and they said they will not pass it.
I think it is future amnesty, and a disgrace. I hope we track down all 30 million illegals and kick them out, one by one. It can be done, and americans should demand it.

They will not give amnesty, because they no that 90% of the American people do not want it. They deported almost 1 million illegal aliens in 1954 if they can do it then they can do it now, it was called operation wetba*ks, it was a derogatory term used back then, they used buses, plains, trucks, and boats and it was done in 1 year. you can look it up on the net.

If the U.S. provides you amnesty there'll truly be greater hundreds of thousands coming in view that amnesty will enable people who're already here to deliver their households here additionally. the mathematics is easy, if there are fifteen million illegals here and each and each has a minimum of 5 kinfolk nevertheless in Mexico we are speaking one greater seventy 5 million human beings coming to the U.S. legally. in my opinion i did no longer comprehend there have been that many roles that individuals does no longer do. the total component frightens me.

We are still in trouble with our State Services now. That would have to change or go under.
Medical should be addressed.

Two other problems need to be addressed. 1. Corporations/businesses that only hire cheap labor. 2. Citizens that are too lazy to do the work that undocumented workers do.
