You don't want them to come out and play. Remember when you were a kid, there were always those mean kids, the ones who put firecrackers in frogs mouths, and put things in the way when you were playing so you would trip over them? The kids who grabbed the baseball and ran away with it, or purposely crushed your favorite toy with a rock just to see you cry? The kids who told the other kids you peed your pants or picked your nose when you really didn't?
They grew up to be the neo-cons, I played with them when I was a kid, I'd rather not play with them again.

I am nice guy scratching out a living to make a good life for my wife and two daughters. I treat everyone with respect, go to church at least twice a month, and contribute as much as I can to charity. But because I believe that Iraq had to be Dealt with whether it was Saddam, or one of his two sons as it's leader, I guess you'd consider me as a "neo-con". I'm not really sure what your definition of one is, but if it someone that is a conservative and votes republican, count me in. - Have a wonder full night and may God Bless you!

Hi, I'm the elusive positive-oriented neocon you've been looking for. We don't just recite the "all men are created equal" adage. We firmly believe it. Here's my point:
Bush once made the remarkable statement about "the soft bigotry of low expectations". I've talked to a lot of liberals about the war in Iraq, and when I bring up the obvious point that millions of people have now been given the opportunity to live in freedom rather than tyranny, they mindlessly object with silly, irrelevant arguments.
If I chide them enough, and make them hot under the collar, they will finally lose all control and exclaim, "Oh come on, you don't really expect that a bunch of volatile, irrational Arabs can handle democracy, do you?"
Whoa......! That's what liberals really think. They don't have confidence in Middle Easterners. They believe Arabs and Persians, and Palestinians are ignorant and backward, incapable of ruling themselves without a strong dictator like Saddam keeping them in line.
Bush did not denigrate the people of the Middle East with the "soft bigotry of low expectations". Unlike the Democrats, he believes in their potential. He does not arrogantly belive that they can't handle democracy.
We neocons believe in peace and prosperity through freedom and democracy. No two democracies have ever waged war against one another. Find even one exception!
We neocons are the nice guys. We don't denigrate people because they have brown skin or black skin. We think they're all perfectly capable of democratic government.
Liberals only see a bunch of scary, fist pumping ragheads.

Great answer bart, I was going to try to top it but I can't, yep every neigborhoods got them, I think the only thing that you left out is when a jr. Neo-con did something wrong he always blamed it on somebody else. When they grow up they still do that. They even blame 9/11 and the Iraqi war on Clinton. I do rest my case.

Hi, I'm one. Even when I act nice to liberals, though, they tend to ignore it and say nasty things to me. BTW, since you seem nice, could you tell me what the difference between a conservative and a neo-con is? From what I've read, there is no difference.

eh... I doubt they will respond, since it would actually prove your point... only like 2 will respond, that don't even usually talk on here, and they will cry that you are stereotyping republicans... guh
rukidding: the main difference seems to be a sense of fiscal responsibility... right out lying seems to also be another neocon idea... like Cheney on meet the press before the war, basically everything he said turned out to be wrong (easy to find WMD, people that will love us and no insurgency, a war that will pay for itself and that it would be over quickly)?
pachl@sbcglo: you CLEARLY have no idea what liberals think... or I'm not a liberal... one or the other... because my beliefs have nothing to do with what you say my beliefs are (does any conservative actually know where reality begins and propaganda ends when talking about "liberals"... if they do, I haven't seen any proof of it)...
so why do you guys keep calling me a liberal when I don't believe about 75 percent of the things that you say liberals believe?

I have never used a persoal attack, but I do argue quite well.
Telling someone that they are wrong is not a personal attack.
Practicing your religion around those who do not believe in God wether in a public or private is not a personal attack and is in fact what is meant by the words "free practice".
Attacking someone's argument is not a personal attack, but an attempt at honest debate.
Give examples of personal attack when you make such an accusation.

neocons suck. they are brainwashed by our educational system which teaches that america is the greatest and is never wrong. they never learn to think for themselves. many times their family lives & other sources reinforce the over simplified answers they have come to accept. they hate liberals because of people like rush limbaugh, sean hannity, anne coulter, pretty much all of fox news, etc. if you listen to these outlets, they pretty much bash liberals constantly as evil. it is a horrible manipulation.
