A man was walking on the beach saw that it was littered with thousands of starfish. A little boy was picking up the starfish one by one and throwing them into the ocean. He asked the boy, "What are you doing?" The boy replied, "I'm throwing starfish back into the water. If I leave them here they'll dry up and die." The man said, "But look how many starfish there are. What you're doing can't possibly make a difference." As the boy picked up another starfish and threw it into the ocean he said, "Well, it makes a difference to this one!"

I have been renting my home for over 2 years. The homeowners divorced and then went thru a bankruptcy. I recently found out that the home is being forclosed on and really dont want to leave as this is the home I always dreamed of owning one day. I am unsure of what step to take next. I know the bank that the mortgage is though but dont belive they will give me any information. Any ideas of who to call to find out if I can purchase the home? Unfortunately I also have a bankruptcy on my record too so Im not sure if its even a possibility. Also curious if Im going to get kicked out of here and if I should still be paying the homeowner rent. Any advice would be appreciated.

How would you design a mars civilizations government? Who
would be in charge of what and how? In order to be safe and sane,
a better political system than we now have would be advisable. What kinds of improvements does our government need? What have modern sociology and civil engineering added to the wisdom of the founding fathers?

It was once stated : the only problems that exist int the world are created by Leaders who seldom do anything more than profit from their decisions. This was in the 1600's, before the USA;so, it is not to imply anthing other than what it means.

California allows people with enough money to by new Hybrid cars and use the diamond lane for commuting. How can the most liberal state in the union do this to the poor. California now supports a two class commuter system, the rich whom get to use the commuter lane with only one occupent in the car and the poor whom do not.

*It is obvious that many mexicans chose a better life, since it is simply terribly easy. If we know this and we are the great country we are(U.S.) AND WE ARE SO KIND WITH POOR and DISAbLED COUNTRIES LIKE IRAK don't WE FIND A REASONABLE AND kIND RESOLUTION?

Do you really think they treated our troops to fine dining and movies while they held them captive or while they cut off the heads of civilian contractors from the US? It's time the military take the question to the US citizens and ask if everything up until now should be over looked? I bet the citizens would vote YES!! leave our military (family, sons and daughters alone)! do you agree?

Lets get off the immigrants for a moment.

I did see on TV-live film. Where Border Patrol had made stops and they did have lots of drugs and yes lots of unregister guns. Over time they have a warehouse full. Isn't this enough reason to close border?
I don't want my children on drugs. And who were those weapons going too? So minus the people factor do we want this? And if someone would find out how much we have confiscated would love to hear it.

I saw enough on film to think that was too much what are your feelings?

And please just this issue this time not the people

I live somewhat near an Army reserve base. It is basically a big parking lot with a barricks and fence around it. A very busy road is right outside the base. Lets say for some odd reason that a fight were to ensue on base and guns were drawn. If a police officer of the town happened to be passing by while this potential firefight was occuring, could the officer do anything about it. Can he pull his gun and demand they drop their weapons. Or is it strictly a military matter?

Army Rangers are a light Infantry brigade in the Army. Just like the 10th Mountain. 82nd Airborne. and so forth. They are compromised of enlisted men, NCO's and officers. Most Rangers are scattered throughout the Army's regular units. Even cooks and office personnel can be Rangers if they can pass the course. 80% of all officers are babied through Ranger School so they can wear a patch. The true spec ops are SEALS Army SPEC Forces and Delta Force. Oh and those Air Force Combat Controllers????

Americans cannot ignore what their government does abroad, as much as they try, maybe someday some Americans might make the connection between what has been visited upon them by thier own government and what their government has visited upon large parts of the world.
