It just seem the USA only helps a nations that can further the political agenda at the time. The USA has exploited so many people all around the world that it is no wonder we have people groups that hate the USA. Something needs to be done on both sides for us to accomplish true globalization.

Since Sadam was a bad leader and we invaded to save his people from him ( there were no Iraqis in the 911 attack)
maybe we should now protect our borders by invading MEXICO and kicking out their bad government and solving their problems with schools and infrastructure and democracy etc so they can have their own good country to live in and not have to flee to our country to avoid the hardship and persecution of their own corrupt regime?
Their so-called "democracy" is a joke. the people are oppressed. the rich class exploits them and they have no quality of life or decent chance to ever be happy. Their cops are crooked and everyone in the government takes bribes. The list goes on and on. How is it different for us to invade IRAQ on a pretext to protect our borders when we really do need to protect our borders from Mexico. There were no illegal Iraqis coming to USA. All the terrorists were ARABs and they were here LEGALLY. ALSO...
MEXICO has a lot of OIL we can steal.

I have to say that I am on the fence at this topic. Should we be in Iraq, does it compare to Vietnam, give your reasons why or why not? Be nice everyone, no need to bash anyone on their beliefs.

Isn't it against the principles of what your forefathers fought for and created?

Whether or not these people are actually guilty is unimportant to me (although many are innocent, about this there is no doubt), it's the fact that the majority are yet to be charged after more than four years!!

One prisoner, an Australian named David Hicks, has been in solitary confinement for 4 1/2 years without charge. He was captured with Taliban troops in Afghanistan. When he does eventually face trial it will be in a military court where the autonomy of Judges is far from garanteed...

What do Americans think of this situation and why it has been allowed to happen?

Remember, there is no form of regulation for private security companies. Murder the innocents, get off scott-free.

My husband is in the Marine Corp. He can be so romantic, sweet, and charming, BUT when i try to talk with him on an emotional level about my feelings or his, he's just not there. Its quite frustrating...Is this because he's a man, or does the military play some part in this issue? Any adivce will help me to understand this problem.

No Democrats, Republicans, Communists, Socialists, Whigs, liberals, conservatives, right or left wingers. Just a Party that will work for the good of American citizens.
National Health care, National drug plan, and stabilization of Social Security should be a must.
Getting our troops home, or at least getting other countries to pull their share of the load and help end it, should be a priority.
Not importing so many foreign goods unless exports match should definately be a priority.
Making sure that the poor receiving assistance that can work find jobs. (Make it a requirement) And crack down on deadbeat fathers and make them do jail time.
Concentrate on Education. This is a big one. Loans are harder to get for college students. The course requirements are not necessarily what the student is going to need after graduation.
No sanctuary for illegal immigrants. Our forefathers went through all the tests to live here. Comments?

I am from Massachusetts, and I cannot understand why Ted Kennedy isn't serving 20 to life in Walpole instead of 20 to life in the Senate. I know the state is liberal, but can't they find a Democrat who hasn't killed a young girl, and buried it with money. Is there just a mystique about Camelot that gives the Kennedy's some special "above the law" pass? If any of you had left the scene of a fatal accident, would you escape prison? This man is a waste of good air, not to mention good Chivas. Massachusetts, find a new Senator. MHO.

I am engaged to an Egyptian national. He's lived here in the States twice before, both times in excellent standing. He was here for work. He's divorced with 2 daughters in Egypt. Is it wiser to bring him here as my fiance, or as my husband? Should I marry him in Egypt at the American Embassy, or should I wait until he's here? I'm going to Egypt in January, and was also there a few years ago. What is better, bringing him as a fiance or as a spouse?
