men pee standing because it gives them an excuse to make a mess

Men pee standing up due to
a- it is quicker than partially undressing and positioning over a toilet
b- toilets are dirty in public places and toilets may not always be accessible
c- less physical constriction
Women pee sitting down due to
a- physical anatomy makes it so to do otherwise could be messy

But hey, I'll play ball (so to speak.)
As a man, if you sit down on the toilet seat, you are *ahem* aimed forward & can accidentally pee through the space between the seat and the toilet. So it's safer to stand and pee. For women, who are oriented downwards, sitting generally makes more sense (I think.)

Who says they do?
My understanding is they squat, especially in public toilets.
It couldn't possibly have anything to do with anatomy, could it? Women have ever seen nude seem yo lack a penis!
