Everybody agrees that it is really easy to smash a mosquitoe. Even a baby can do it. But how can the mosquitoe pierce your skin and suck blood??? I mean, we use NEEDLES to inject medicine and other stuff...anything will be helpful!!!

so i have 2 hermit crabs.. theyre in the kind of cage with the wire sides for them to climb up..

i bought them just a few weeks ago.. and in their cage they have sand. a sponge. and a feeder with food.. and some extra shells

last night.. the smaller one was up all night. being quite noisey crawling all over the cage.. and he was like that this morning as well

i went to our country faid at like 10.. he was still wondering around.. and i got back at about 230.. i went in to check their sponge. and he had like fell out of his shell.. so i figured maybe idk.. he was changing shells? but he didnt pick another one.. so i poked him.. and he didnt move.. he looked normal.. other than the fact that he was naked..

so i threw him away. thinking he was dead

but now im not sure if he was

anyone know what happened\

So I'm at my friends house and my mom calls me and tells me that one of my cats caught a baby rabbit and that they're treating it. They said some of the fur was ripped off, so I thought it was a minor injury. I come home and see it, it's back is like..skinned completely. It's alive and all, I just don't know how to treat it. Any suggestions on what to do? If we help the bunny, I'm allowed to keep it, and even if I couldn't keep it, I'd still want to treat it.

Please help.
:)

I have a male rabbits and a female rabbit that live outside and they're both housed in separate NIC condos. I was wondering can they die of heat stroke during the summer if their cages are in the shade? They have plenty of water and when its too hot, they run in their mini crates that I left in their condo so they have something to hide in. I left mini pillows and blankets in their crates so they have something to hide under, will they be fine?

Do they put rods in doberman ears? we got his ears cropped and the vet that taped they ares didnt clean them and one ear is ok, but the other hangs a little because when it got infected it was bleeding and he kept putting it back.... I dont want rods in them i am just wondering i heard a rumor of it...
I think it would be kind of cruel.. but anyways help if possible, i would like his ears to both stand, or none, but the other is straight up.

Having a pet (such as a dog) and leaving it home alone (in a cage or outside-if its nice out) while you are at work?
My bf thinks its cruel, if you have an animal it should get all your time and devotion.
What are your thoughts on this?

What is the deal with people getting on here asking if their pet needs to see a vet if the animal is sick enough for you to be concerned whether it needs to see vet or not chances are it is! I know vets are expensive but most will work with people on a payment arrangement I really just don't get it if you understand this please explain it to me

i am simply curious...

in my world, my pets are part of the family, and they are cared for and treated as such.

i've seen people who don't have their animals wormed, no flea treatment, not a shot in years...

worms are parasites which deplete the body of nutrients, and can eventually kill an animal. fleas carry tapeworms, and they bite!! sometimes they even get on people, and can infest an entire house.

when we take on the responsibility of a pet, it's nice to feed it and provide shelter... but if they have to go around feeling like crap because they are loaded with worms or fleas, what is the sense?

and while i'm at it, why do people just let their cats run loose? they can spread and/or catch diseases, get into horrible fights, and then there are those individuals who enjoy harming cats for entertainment.

it's really dangerous for a cat out there!

I asked the question earlier "Is my rabbit definatly pregnant" came home from work and sure enough there are four baby bunnies in a load of her fur! What shall I do now? How long do I keep then for? I wasnt quick enough to put her in a nesting box so she is in her normal cage which isnt huge/can I move them if not now when????? Also she has put her nest under the water bottle she drinks from, they may get wet and it doesnt look like she is going to move them - well as of yet she hasnt! One more thing, she must have had them about 6 hours ago now and I have been watching her (she cant see me) for the past two hours and it looks like she hasnt been near them and they are wriggling alot
as if they want food from mum. What about if she doesnt go to them, will they die ? She is lying down the other side of the cage, I bet she is exhausted but I dont want them to die. Please help. Erm one more thing, when are they ready to go to new homes? This is all very new to me!Thanks alot for any help

I have a two year old English Bulldog. Within the last two months, the dog bit my mother, causing a two-inch scar on her leg. Also, the dog bit my Father in the hand, also drawing blood and leaving a scar. In addition to these problems, the dog sometimes growls at strangers. Though he has periods of violent behavior, he mainly is a good dog. I certainly have to get rid of the dog. But I am faced with a huge dilemma - should he be put to sleep, or should I give him to a rescue society of some sort?? If so, how would I go about this process?

why could this be? any suggestions?

Hello, so have four rats all together and today they all slowly died one after another for reasons we dont know, anyway I noticed that on one of the rats (the black rat) there were these small white things hanging on at the top of its hair, on closer inspection I saw that they were small white bugs that hardly ever moved, could anyone have a guess what these might be?? and maybe if they have something to do with the fact that all our rats died on the same day?. (PS. they arent maggets because the rats JUST died)

I take my dogs to walk at the park by the river daily. There is a grandpa and two little girls about 5 and 7 who hand feed the squirrels there each morning. I think it is irresponsible and dangerous. It causes the squirrels to approach humans that come to the park and even chase them begging. It puts the little girls at risk of being bitten or scratched and needing rabies shots. What would you do? And who would you turn this into if at all?
