Does anyone here have a sugar glider? I really want one so I've been doing a lot of research on them. I have a few questions about them? first How big Do they grow do they get big like this? http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b250/Roytwo/May%202006%20West%20Coast%20Game%20Park/West_Coast_Game_Park_May2006_053.jpg

Second Where Can I buy one?

Third question is it a lot of work taking care of them? Can you train them?

My ferret has been missing for 2 weeks, but I am sure he is still alive and I search for him every day. He has to hide somewhere during the day but I can't figure out where. At night I have tried many things to get him home (Eg. boxes filled with food) but none seem to work. I have also checked the animal shelters in person because they don't list them as domestic pets like cats & dogs on their websites & won't look for you in the small animal section. It's pretty lame. Where would my ferret go & what's the best way to trap him? Racoon trap already set! Writing from Florida. ** dw

I am curious ... for future reference. My cat is very old. I live in an apartment, so I can't burry in the yard.

My project is going to help raise money for our local animal shelter. What's a short, catchy name involving animals that won't sound as though it popped out of a 5-year-old's moth? (It's for my high school service project...)

I wish I would've taken him on more walks and more car rides. I wish I didn't let him have surgery, it made him worse :(.

Well I really want to get a small pet and my 2 options would be rabbits and hamsters. Now I want something that doesnt take too much work but I dont mind taking out their poop every day as long as its no changing the whole thing. Also I only get home at about 5 since I have school and practice and all since im 15 and still in High School so I will only have an hour or so to play with the animal exept for on the weekends when I could spend 2-4 hours. Also if I get them should I get 2 of them( brother sister, brother brother, sister sister) or just one of them. I am leaning towards 2 because I dont want them to get lonely but then again I dont want them fighting. Also if anyone thinks another pet would be better then just tell me but I am leaning towards hamsters or rabbits

We have a 7 yr. old Corgi and now my son is dying for a kitten. I've never owned a cat, and although I'd like to, I have no idea how to make the transition. Will the dog accept the cat, ignore the cat, or kill the cat??? Our dog has the run of the house. Sleeps under my bed or in bed with my son. Please help. thanks!

My rabbit is 15 years old, i have had him since was 2 years old, one eye recently went blind, and i think the other did to. He has a random bulge of skin oner his belly, it doesnt hurt him, but i was wondering if anyone knows what it is. He is blind in both eyes, grey clouds, i was wondering if i could buy antibotics. I am taking him to the vet soon, Now he just sits in a corner, and thats all. So is there a cure?

hehe I asked this question in the wrong cat b4, oops!My rabbit had the babies (born last wed) and all are doing well except one - tiny little thing with lots of skin and not alot of a belly like the others. Is he/she out of the danger zone yet? Or when are all of them out of the "danger zone" do you think they are by now, they are a week old 2moro? Thanks guys

I had this rabbit since she was born. I kept her in a big hutch about 3 feet of the ground in the back yard. I also have 2 dogs. A small shepherd mix, 2 feet to the snout. Calm, obedient, not timid, but not aggressive. The other is a very violent, very hyper minature pinshcer. He chases everything foreign to the yard, and picks fights with the bigger dog (eventhough he always looses). Last nite, the rabbit got out. I found her this morning, dead. No blood, no broken skin, apparantely just suffocated. My mom cried endlessly, she loved that rabbit. She blamed the pinshcer for obvious reasons. They've killed countless animals that have wondered into our yard from birds to cats. I know it's canine instinct but what can I do to stop the midless violence? They're not hungry, they dont eat the kill.

I've tried to give them other activities but the only thing they like is walks. They don't chase frisbees or balls or doggie toys. The little one is ESPECIALLY violent. What can I do?

My Sneezy died last year and I still feel like I didn't do enough.Sneezy was my LLapso/poodle mix.. we saved him from the shelter.. he was designanted to be destroyed in a week....we had him for 16 yrs...he was a part of the family. I miss him so much people think I am weird
Am I? I have another dog..sheperd/huskey/ lab mix...she was the runt...but looking at her now you would think she was the biggest...she loves the pickup rides and runing for who gods know where (we have 10 acres of land)..we love her to death..like family..is that weird?
I started a pet cemetery because of Sneezy and people think I am stupid for wasting 1 acre of land for dead animals...so far I have 2 pets buried there.
So am I stupid and weird??????

There are about 50 - 75 worms in the bedding and I am adding the required potato slices every couple of days. When I remove the old potato slice, there is a wodge of branny stuff attached to the slice. I remove it also and toss it. What is that wodge? Is it a precursor to mold or something? Or can I safely leave it?

As yet, no baby worms in the box with the darkling beetles in it. Too soon, I think. But ever hopeful I am.

I was just given a Chilean rose tarantula on Saturday and had no idea that she was about to molt, this evening she was walking around, and I put a cricket in there. Now she is on her back molting and I am worried the cricket will hurt her! I have been keeping an eye out on her, but has anyone else had any experience with this??

I bought a 13 week old basset hound. He was healthy. We got him home and late that night he began vomitting. We carried him to the vet and they kept him for 9 days with an estimate of $200.00 per day treatment for parvo. He was tested with definite parvo. The bill came back at $780.00.The pet store only had him for 24 hrs. and they say they will only pay 1/2 the cost of the dog($280.00 / 1/2 =$140.00)They say there is a "pet lemon law" that protects them??The breeder is avoiding our calls now!Who should pay?Is the law definitely on my side?We are prepared to go to court but would rather convince them to pay the vet bills.Any advice would be appreciated.
