My ferret has been missing for 2 weeks, but I am sure he is still alive and I search for him every day. He has to hide somewhere during the day but I can't figure out where. At night I have tried many things to get him home (Eg. boxes filled with food) but none seem to work. I have also checked the animal shelters in person because they don't list them as domestic pets like cats & dogs on their websites & won't look for you in the small animal section. It's pretty lame. Where would my ferret go & what's the best way to trap him? Racoon trap already set! Writing from Florida. ** dw

Go and ask all your neighbors! I have rescued two ferrets who simply wandered up to someone's house and got found. Your neighbor may have simply kept it! Put up signs around your street at well--don't give up yet.

no matter what anybody says never give up. Keep hope that your ferret is still alive! My ferret died a week ago but I just found out so I'm very upset. Just remember that your ferret CAN come back. Look where you wouldn't think to find him. Good Luck and I hope you find him soon because you don't deserve to live without him.

2 weeks? I don't mean to sound rough here, but I think hope is gone. How are you sure he is alive? Ferrets are domestic creatures and would not be able to fend for themselves very long in the 'wild'. I would post some posters around your neighborhood along with your pets pictures and your phone number. Hopefully someone noticed or captured your ferret.

Good luck!

Sorry, but he's gone. They aren't like cats and dogs that have brains to want to find their way back. He won't come back for food, he will just keep going where ever he's going. It's unfortunate- this is why we as ferret owners must keep a good eye on them.

Maybe a cat ate your ferret. How can you be sure it's still alive? i don't know. Maybe it's really near to you. On your bed? Under your bed? I don't know. It probably ran outside and got ran over by a car? You can never know. I think you should get a new one. Maybe that new ferret will help you find the missing one. Or you can get a dog to help sniff it out! =)

Check under your lower kitchen cabinets. A lot of times there is a hole at the bottom they can crawl into. I've had friends that this has happened too. Good luck.
