My sister's neighbors went out of town for a week and they left their outside kittens (about 12 weeks old) with no food, water, or caretakers. After they had been gone for about three days, my sister noticed and called me (the cat lover in the family) to see if I had any idea what we could do to save these poor starving and dehydrated cats. My husband went and picked them up and they've been at our house for two days. We've been feeding them, providing water, litter-box training them, and giving them some desperately needed attention.

Our concern comes when the owners come back. Does anyone know if we legally have to give them their cats back? Can we refuse to because they left them for a week without food or water? We don't want to involve animal control if possible because we want to find these kittens good homes without the risk of them being put down.

If anyone knows some good sources for this question, please let me know. We're in Utah, if that helps.

I am taking care of my cusins rabbit while they are away, I fergot to put him in his cage on our deck so I let him come in bcecause i think i hear raccons so I don't wanna go outside. I put him in a fairly good sized bathroom with food and water, and then I shut the door cuz my mom dosn't want him running all over the house. Would putting him in a bathroom kill him? Will he sufacate?

I know that an actual Vet has to do surgery and other things and that a Vet. Tech. gets to do simple things and not do surgery.

My boyfriend and I just got a kitten who needed a home or was going to get sent to the pound. We already have a grown cat who is pretty spoiled and lazy as is and never been around other animals. We brought the new kitten home on Wednesday and my boyfriend and I are being very careful with the two and been keeping them seperated when we're not home. We have been testing them out and trying to get them closer together but our older cat hisses and is scared at the same time. We can tell our older cat wants to check him out but still is acting funny. and the little guy wants to play with him so bad. So what do we do? What is the best way for them to get along?

I am going to an out of state college for 4 years, and I need another pet that is NOT a bird, that can stay at home alone for at LEAST 9 hours. Maybe 6-8. I'll be gone from like 8 am to 6 or 5 pm. I also want this pet to play, be furry, and sociable and loveable toward me. Also that will be nice to my bird and I won't have to worry about leaving them alone at the house together. When I'm done college I am going to be either a Marine Biologist or a Massage Therapist so I need a pet that can either go with me or can stay at home with my bird. Please help me, I'd appreciate it! I really want a cat, but my dad says that if we get one it will scratch the furniture all the time and jump on the counters and we will regret it. I try to explain to him that having a cat reallyisn't a big deal, but he makes it seem like we would be adopting a lion or something. Omg!!! my 2 hunting dogs just took my 500 dollar rabbit fur scarf outside and destroyed it....I am so mad it is still in good condition but It is covered in dirt and spit and mud.......Can you wash a rabbit fur scarf ?

Because the weather has been so bad, most of my trails have gotten really really muddy so i am now limited to which trails I take. Some of the mud is nearly up to my knees in places and im just 6 feet tall. Can I ride through mud that deep? My horse wants to go through it but i will not let her, I always turn around. Can not wait for the good weather to come back, my riding Levis are getting ruined in the bad weather. Come on sun please come back.

hi i live in new york and im looking for schools that are in connecticut or new york area. i want to go to an ACTUAL school because everytime i look online im getting these crappy "online ABC" classes. i personally think you will learn better if the classes was on hand training. overall all im looking for a job that involves animals so for some reason its really hard to find schools that does so. like VET TECH. i wanted to go for VET TECH but yeh, no schools around here... so umm..if you can help me with both thatll be great thanks :D
