They are a completely different species, aren't they?

Well I said I was allergic to cats and some guy asked why I'm not allergic to dogs since they both have fur.

It's not the fur of either you are allergic too, it is the dander - the skin.

That's why all this "hypo allergenic" nonsense about certain breeds, or mixed breeds is absolute lies.

While that is true, it is not uncommon to be allergic to many different types of furred animals. Cats and rodents make me sneeze and itch. Dogs make me break out in hives. *shrugs*
