LOL Ferrets are serious about their hording capabilities. They love it. My ferrets 'live' in my bedroom, mostly for safety reasons. I had to take my bed off of its frame and keep it on the floor because I was finding too many surprises under my bed. Not only were there piles of food, treats, and toys under there but I also was finding my personal belongings and remnants of toilette use as well!
I have found a way to curb the stealing of my things though...ferret proofing for one, lol, and offering more toys. Ferrets LOVE those hard plastic 'baby doll' toys that you find in the toy isle of your favorite store. They like the pretend bottles, blocks, rattles, food containers, etc., etc. I keep everything in a box. The ferrets go from the box to their favorite 'spot' all day long. Little buggers live to horde.

Why call the cops on a ferret? XD I have to same problem too. Try giving her more attention. Give her little treats every now and then and put your things where she can't find them or get to them. If you can, try putting up security cameras. Make sure to keep a good eye on both her, and your stuff. She's probably doing this for attention or just to mess around with you. Or curiosity.

We have a ferret too. Mine will climb in my purse an remove things. They especially like shiny or sparkly objects. God made ferrets cute so we won't be too mad at them when they steal objects around the house.

Ours had a sock fetish, clean or dirty it didn't matter. She would crawl through the laundry or drawers to find them and then hide them inside the arm of the couch. I found around 20 of them in there. Most people just think they have a gremlin that steals their socks and leaves them only mis-matched ones but we actually did.

How cute. Hmmm...no I've never had this problem because ferrets are illegal as housepets in California. It does sound interesting though. Maybe you could train her to steal other peoples things and bring them home.
:) just kidding of course.

ours did that too, that's part of their personality. ferrets are very curious and love to hide things! they usually have a "hidey hole" that they take all of their findings too. watch and see where he puts things and then you will know to check there.
its normal, they are very investigative.
