Assuming its calf is no longer nursing, the milk will dry up after a few days. If the calf is taking less and less milk from the mother and is slowly supplementing its diet with grasses, the milk will dry up slowly. Should the calf die, or be taken away from the mother suddenly, the process will be more painful for the mother because its udders are full. But after a few weeks the milk production will end in the mother.

A milking cow only has milk if she has delivered a calf, the calf is removed from her and hand fed so the farmer can milk the cow. So of course, a milking cow in the wild who has had a calf has milk until the calf is weaned and the milk dries up.

yes the cow that has milk because of having a calf has milk until the calf is weaned and if the cow is not milked after that the milk dries up though usually a cow that has a calf that is near weaning gets pregnant right away.

The reason they milk is because they have recently had a calf. So, in the "wild" the calves drink the milk until they are weaned. Hope this helps.
This is why dairy cows have so many calves....to keep their milk flow going.

Yep unless she has a calf drinking it ....
Even with a calf she will not be able to EAT enough green grass (no grain in the wild) to sustain the huge amounts of milk a modern dairy cow is able to make only much smaller amounts sutible to feeding a calf.....

It shall dry up of its own. all mammals do not get milked. The calf shall suck it s milk and the production shall decrease to dry up.
