My hamster is named Pandy because she is a panda bear hamster and she loves chewing on things she just chews and chew and chews! So is there some hamster chew toys I can get her so she would chew on those instead of something she's not supposed too? Are chew toys good for hamsters of would they be bad because I figured it might be kind of bad but I want to try it should I or shouldn'y I??

Yeah luv, thats fine. Chewing is a hamster's speciality!!! Once we accidently put my nephew's woolen jumper too close to my hamster's cage, and in the morning there was a huge hole in the jumper! Bless!! You can buy wooden blocks from pet shops which they can chew on, they come in shapes like carrots, multicoloured sticks etc. Also you can get salt blocks for them from pet shops, but ALWAYS make sure your hamster has fresh water in her cage. If you have any doubts about what would be suitable once you're at the pet shop, just ask one of the assistants and they should be able to recommend some things. Good luck xxx

Yes, there are chew toys for hamsters. Some are wood, others are minerals and salt. The latter is better for your hamster, but no kind will really harm it. You can buy these at any pet store (i.e. PetCo, PetSmart, Pet Land, etc.).
As for string and shoelaces, I think this is quite normal; hamsters chew on a lot of things. If you want Pandy to stop chewing these, simply keep her away from them.

Chew toys are great and they don't have to cost much (if any) money.
Clean newsprint paper is perfect for your hamster to shred. Also, give her your left over popsicle stick. Soak it in apple juice then let it dry. Weave one between the bars of her cage to mount it. She'll go nuts over it.

yes they do sell chew toys for them, but really any type of untreated wood, except pine would be fine. hamsters teeth continue to grow and if they do not chew on thing to ware them down they will keep growing right into their own heads.

you ought to purchase an incredible style of diverse putting bite stick cope with issues from puppy shops. you may discover he prefers a particular style and not others. i'm afraid i'm interior the U. S. i won't advise something particular. Small branches or sticks are stable yet you incredibly ought to sterilise them first. If sufficiently small you may boil them in a pan of water for 15mins or greater, or bake them interior the oven for 0.5 an hour, or freeze them for some days. this ought to kill any mites / bugs interior the wood that should in any different case injury your hamster. as quickly as I had a particular chewy rat (one that chewed the cage bars plenty) i offered some untreated newborn's birch development blocks. To cause them to greater beautiful, I soaked a pair in white wine over evening and then positioned them interior the oven on low for approximately 20mins to dry out. This leaves a winey flavor and aroma yet eliminates the alcohol. you additionally can do a similar element with fruit juice. If he has a particular common cope with you ought to fold the ends of a rest room roll tube over with some interior. he will have the potential to sniff them in there and it will supply him something to bite and stop him feeling bored. Dry uncooked pasta is an incredible crunchy nutrition that rodents tend to love. it will supply him something to bite on rather of the cage bars, in spite of if it ought to correctly be merely as noisy. no longer having him on your mattress room at evening could remedy your project. Hamsters are nocturnal so there is probably no longer something you're able to do to stop him being lively and making noise at evening. hopefully a number of those innovations could help decrease his noise production. stable success :)

hi... any pet supplies store would have hamster "chews"...
not good to allow them to chew on fabric or shoe strings because if they swallow string, it could get bound up in their intestines, and kill them.
take care!!! i'm sure your hamster is adorable.
