I noticed yesterday that she had a spot of hair that was longer and when I pulled at that I noticed that it was torn and not attached to the skin. I called the vet and he said she had probable just cut it on something so I didnt think much about it and then I noticed today that there is another spot to. When you look at these spot all you see is pure meat.

My rabbit is now a little over a year old. He is a mini rex, therefore his fur is fine, but his nails grow faster than most breeds. He is getting more hard to clip, and I know that I can't take him to the Vet. every week. Are there any ways to help him calm down when I have to clip them. (Yes, I know the whole hip-mo-tize (:P) thing, but it's not so easy as they get older)

I don't mean for this to sound rude, but some of the questions that get asked on here drive me nuts. People who don't get their cats vaccinated and neutered for example, because they don't know anything about it, and people that moan about their pet's behaviour when it's totally normal behaviour!

Did you do lots of reading before you got your pet? I know that I spent weeks making sure I understood cats before I got my kitten!

I use aspen bedding for my hamster. The store I got her from uses it in all. Should I switch to paper? Aspen doesn't hurt hamsters, does it? Mine doesn't eat it or anything. Please help!

Ok, so I'm bored and decided to look up 'dog and cat' in google images, and obviously came across many, but this one really caught my attention:
http://xo.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/dogcatmouse.jpg
What do you think about this picture?

I myself at first thought it was both cool and weird, but now I think its, well, a neat idea, assuming that the poor dog's back is not strained with the cat and its paws (and indirectly, mouse) on it. I love seeing animals together so I like this picture even though I think it defies the natural instinct of cats (to chase mice and eat them) and that of dogs (to chase cats for fun). Starting to think of 'Tom and Jerry' but I don't know whether cats and mice really have that love-hate relationship much in the actual world. As for dogs and cats, I've seen dogs chasing cats, but I've heard its just for fun and they don't actually harm the cats.

Maybe I'm overanalyzing this, but I love observing animals and their behaviors. Then again I'm weird, lol

I have a lop earred rabbit, and lately he has been sneezing alot. My mom said we can't afford to take him to the vet if he gets sick because of money issues, but I don't wanna see him die if he's that sick. A few days ago during the spring I left a screen in the window for air, and it was a little cool at night but not cold, ever since that I kept it in. Also he doesn't like drinking out of his wattle bottle, so i give him a bowl and he drinks the whole thing in an hour or so. Do you know why he's sneezing, how can I help him without a vet, and is this serious? Thank you so much!

What responsibilities are there once the pet is recieved in the US?

Are there any additional costs once recieved here in the US?

What questions should I be asking to ensure that I will receive my pet once I've sent the money?

I live on a thoroughbred farm and my mom is getting another tb in. she said i could keep her for my own riding. I'm changing her name because its jetterjeeter! she's a dark bay, no markings, 17 hands , and she's said to be really sweet. i need a barn name and a show name. i ride hunter/jumper so thats what im going to train her in. once she learns that im going to try high level dressage with her. I want really cool and unique names like windsome adante, or dream pusher, those are my other horses' names.

I currently run a pet website with a forum and I'm always looking for ways to improve it. If this were your site what else would you want to add to it? Or what would you change about it? It is located at http://www.petgrowth.com, any suggestions or comments are welcome.

My rabbit had ONE baby last night, around 5 p.m. As of this morning at 8 a.m., there is still only one baby. She made a beautiful comfy nest - everything seems proper. She did seem to be a bit overdue. After she had the one baby, she continued to bleed a little throughout the evening. She doesn't seem to be in any distress - acting quite normal. She is very accepting of my presence even throughout this past day. I didn't see her deliver, but the baby is right in the middle of the nest, covered in mama's fur. This is her first pregnancy. She was bred with a smaller rabbit.

Hypothetical scenario: Is your pet so much a member of your family that you would miss a day of work if your pet died?

PS - I hope your pets live long and happy lives!
