This summer, my family are going to adopt 2 animals from the shelter. we live in a single home with a samll grass area in the pool.. The animals would have acsess to all the indoor rooms and if they were a dog, the backyard. My brother, aged 9 is getting a dog. my sister, aged 14, doesnt want a pet because she dislikes picking up poop. Im 13, and dont know wheter to get a dog or a cat. Im leaning towards a cat, but is it true that some cats grow apart from people when they are no longer kittens?? How do i pick out a cat that wont end up avoiding me? or should i just get a dog?

Hi
i have got these 2 hamsters from about a month an a half now and the female fine but the male is setting out of his way just to bite me if i have my hand 1 side and he the other he will run to my hand to bite me.

i cant handle him what so ever cuz all he wants to do is bite me i worked out a way to get im in and out of his running ball back to his cage without touching him, but i can stroke him or even try to de-flea him cuz i soon my hand near him he bite me and he bite soo hard he a very stong hamster spends all his time awake nibbling the cage.
there both already 1 year old before i got them but yet she fine she dont bite but she doesnt like to be handled ether cuz spends all her time trying to get out of my hands or out of her cage.

he also wont use his wheel inside his cage i dont think he knows how to use it how can i make him learn i tried putting food in there but he just takes it and runs off. he becoming a well lazy hamster and sleeping 2 much. getting bigger i think

hello there, ive got a baby "angora" rabbit from a rehoming center a few days ago, he's 8 weeks old, a houserabbit and very fluffy! they told me he was an angora..........except he's got lop ears! so i asked if he was a cross, n they said no.

is it normal for angoras to have lop ears? because all the ones ive seen dont! or do u think he could be a cross?

i wouldnt change him for the world!! hes just sooooo cute! im just curious really about the breed. but if he is an angora, i can buy a specified book on angoras and read more about them!

ive had lionheads in the past, so grooming isnt an issue, just dont know much about angoras in general

thanks for your help!

I would like to be a veterinarian someday. but i hear it is VERY hard. my aunt just graduated the other day and ppl were telling her "finally you can get back to ur life!" so i cant help but wonder if this be too overwhelming and stressful for me. So pretty much, my question is how can I really prepare myself for vet school? should i learn all i can about small animals early? or other things? So far to prepare myself i go to a vet clinic for job shadowing, and i hope to get a job there this summer, as a, heh "janitor" basically. (I am in 10th grade, and very ambitious. Normally i would ask my aunt these questions, but i think she's a lil worn out. besides she never answers her phone :p)

Hi. I was thinking of buying a big tiger or a lion as a pet to keep in my house and take care of. Is that a good idea?

Also, do you know what kind of food does a tiger like the eat and what does it like it play with ?
