Well I am going to get a new addition to the family and well I want to know what to get. I love cats but they are too lazy for me. I also love dogs but I hate going on walks every two hours.

I own a new and small rabbitry, breeding lionheads. I've only been breeding for about 7 months.

I recently bought a pedigree doe from another breeder who told me that she attempted to breed her, told me the breeding didn't take, and since she was down sizing her rabbitry sold her to me for a knock off price. I kindly requested she give me a copy of the buck she attempted to breed to anyway. After looking at me like I was retarded, made me a copy.

1 day after the does purchase, I then have two kits.

4 weeks after the purchase, I have two 4 week old kits, and 6 newborns.

I than called the lady i purchased the doe from and she advised me she tried to breed the doe AGAIN the day before I bought her and that, that as well didn't take.

So now I have a doe, with two 4 week old, and 6 newborns. My doe pushed the 4 weeks old away, and is being very violant with them. I moved them into their own cage, and am now hand feeding them suppliment, as well as letting them pick at solids.

are Azalea leaves good for bunnies? we have a few azalea (sp) bushes in our backyard and i feed the leaves to my six year old bunny but i was wondering if they're good for bunnies? like will my bunny get any nutrition from them or anything? thanks!

this is probs sounding a bit stupid but i just got a baby rabbit 3 days ago... he is good as gold and i love him to bits, cant stand to leave him on a day time and whenever i am home he is out and running around close to me, the thing is he's eating the food that i eat...macdonalds..he loves it...chips and chicken nuggets, even when i dont offer him it he just jumps in the bag looking for them, i have bought him all fresh green veg and carrots and cucumber and apple which he does eat but he will eat my muslie, rice crispies, chicken nuggets and chips and even a cheesy crisp. obviously i'm not feeding him this all the time but is it ok to give it to him every so often? i was just wondering cuz i love to spoil him but i dont wanna be doing any damage to his insides.

To those of you in hurricane areas the ASPCA and Humane Society websites have lots of good information about disaster preparedness and your pets. Actually these plans would work for just about any natural or otherwise disaster. The Red Cross will not allow pets into emergency shelters, so we need to figure out our alternatives.

I am just curious what animals everyone has.Also what are the names of their pets? How long have they had them? Also What animals did you use to have & what were their names. Like I said Im very curious

I have 3 cats
Actually 2 of them live at my moms because they are outside cats now & mom doesn't want them close to a road which I am.
Anyway I was 3 cats:
Sylvester( at my moms house) hes black & white Follows you around like a dog lol. I love him to death

Hissy - ( at my moms house) She is a calico cat & actually ismy sisters by my sister doesn't pay attention to her so I call her mine. Her name is baby actually but baby Doesn't fit her.

Callie- Shes a Calico. She hates little kids & doesn't like people very much except for my husband & I. My cousin Will come up & everytime he comes she always hisses at him lol but he deserves it because he picks on all animals

Dwarf Hamster- I haven't figured out a name yet if anyone would like to help me pick out a name if be greatly

I am having a problem chooseing a name for my Female Dwarf Hamster! She is spikey looking & she is gray. I have thought of a name for her like:
Little one
Cream puff
Tina
Honey
Sweetie
Cuddles
Snickers
But if anyone has any better suggestions on what to name her I am open to Suggestions!!

her breathing is followed by hard thumping inside of her. her ears aren't as well groomed as they used to be [they have this wet effect]. Her teeth are darkly stained on the edges of her front teeth [this has never happened before]. The bottom of her nose [the opening to her nose] is slightly blackened. And she has been very inactive. She's not the hyper rabbit I'm used to.

What's happening to her? Could these be symptons of something? How can I prevent it next time? How can I cure her? Is she going to die?

*I can't take her to the vet, because:

1) my parents refuse to "waste money on a rabbit".
2) I'm broke.
3) There is no vet around here, and my parents probably wouldn't be willing to travel miles across the country to find a vet that could help my rabbit.

2 weeks ago I bought my daughter 2 female mice. On Friday to our surprise 1 of the mice had babies. Every time we check on the mice there seems to be less babies. There were about 12 now 3 days later, there are only 4. Is one of the mice eating these babies? There is no sign of remains of these babies. How can we keep the remaining living babies safe?

I have all the stuff that he needs to live like food bedding water bottle wooden toys but I'm guessing there is other stuff to make him happier. How do I get him to let me pet him? I've been leaving bowls of milk and tuna out for him, but after he eats he runs away--and if I try to pet him while he's eating he picks me up wiuth his trunk and hurls me down the block, so I'm guessing he's gone feral--anny suggestions as to how to make friends with him?
