I have othmand yes, they are diffent, so choose wisely.

If you go for a cat, try something with abit of pazaz, maybe adopt one, or buy a kitten taht has spunk, it shoudl be playful and energietic, taht way, it owulnt be too lazy.

A dog, if you get a working dog, (border collie) etc, then you will need to take it for wlaks, do you have property? if yes, then just play with it, teahc it to fetch and play frisbee, if not, walks is your alternative choice, you can always pay someone to do it, but id do it my self, take a ball and a frisbee and go to the park for a game or fetch.

If you dont ant to walk, then get a smaller dog, taht way, you dont need to wlak as far, as these little dogs only have little lungs. A cavalier king charles is a great small dog, energetic and yet, extreamly cute, you will be able to wlak it a short distance, and people will be offering to walk it for you, lol, they are great family doga and come in avariety of colours

All in all, choose the one that you will have the most fun with, cats are great fun, they are companion animals and yes, can be snooty sometimes, dogs are fun and energetic, but sometimes they can more of a hassle.

Hope this helps

Why not get an adult animal of either species? Adult animals are generally calmer and their personalities are more fully developed so you'll know if that cat is going to be more playful and the dog won't need to go out as frequently.

You need to think about what's most important to you in a pet. If it's really important to you that your pet be active and playful, then either look for a cat that's very active and playful or get and active and playful dog. If not having to go out when the weather's bad or your feeling sick is really important to you, then opt for an indoor cat. No pet is going to be perfect. You'll always have to do some things you don't enjoy. Just figure out which one has more pros than cons for you.

i have small dogs and i never take them on walks. they get plenty of exercise playing with my kids and each other. they run up and down the stairs all the time while they are chasing each other. kitten turn in to cats. they get boring, run away, and they just want to be left alone. do you really want a kitty litter in your house. i have a dog door and my dogs used it since they were puppies. their poop is small and they don't burry it unlike cats. i pick up ever morning and it only takes a few minutes and doesn't make your yard smell. i don't know any dog owner that takes their dog on walks every 2 hours. in fact i don't know anybody that takes their dogs on a walk every day. dogs are loving, caring, and great with kids. i don't trust cats with my babies. i trust my dogs with my 2 1/2 week old twins. my 4 other children keep my dogs very fit and happy. my dogs love being held like a baby and love to sleep by you. get a dog. trust me you won't regret it.

cats are great, if you play with them and have them exercise they usually wont be that lazy. dogs are naturally playful you don't have to walk them every two hours. Since they are both great you should get a cat because there are more cats that need a home. If you email me and decide to get a cat i will give you a free one.

you dont have to go on walks every two hours. just once or twice a day. i suggest a dog if you want something loving to be happy when you walk in the door, and to be loyal and show they love you. or you could get a cat if you want something that just kinda hangs out, lays low, but sometimes cuddles with you. just depends on what kind of person you are.

Kittens play when young, but get lazy when they are older. They will stay active sometimes, but you have to pay attention to them, you can't slack off on your part either!

Puppies are a PAIN to housetrain, but will pay attention to you. They need walks about every other day if you can.
