You have... an elephant.... for a pet?!
You should have the postman call you before he comes there and then you should go out and restrain her or distract her. Then the postman could deliver the mail. You should do this if you are serious,but then again it sounds really preposterous.
I must admit a pet elephant named Tinkerbell for a pet that has killed 4 mailmen, it sounds as though you are on some serious drugs.
Also, where do you live? I mean, since you have an elephant for a pet.

How cruel, keeping her on a chain. If you are having real trouble, you beat call the elephant whisperer to come help you out.
In the meantime, it's actually quite easy to train her to collect the mail for you, saves strain on the mailmen.

Also, give your mailman some peanuts to make Tinkerbell have positive associations with him.
