I think "Sweetie" would do well with a harnass, you know I've seen her when you walk her - she just runs everywhere and gets into everything!
A harness will enable you to guide her more securely and you will better be able to teach her to "heel"

Why are you after a leash, surely the whole point of an elephant is to ride. You will probably struggle to get a saddle to fit, so just save money and go bare back

get some clown wigs and braid them up into a long rope, elephants just love those wild colours!!

I love the ones available at Petco..and they come in 100 foot lengths in assorted colors...
