Could i volunteer or work at most animal shelters like the humane society at this age? If so, I assume that they volunteer worksers and don't actually pay you... is this true? I love animals and i think it would be fun, but I also need the money...

I've already read all the sites that say they are odor free great pets etc and only illegal in California and New York but how odor free are they and how much of a hassle are they I cant find any site that gives any real pros and cons on them that just come out and say every problem with them. I have read they can become upset by fast movements and loud noises and if aggitated will scream and attack but they seem to be overall an easy pet to own as most of their shots are similar to cats and dogs and they are not monkeys so dont reply about monkeys being terrible pets

My horse andie had to be put down last week after a severe injury. He got his hoof caught in the gate on his paddock and struggled all night. When I came out the next day I found him standing in the field on three legs. He ripped his right fore hoof off, we found his hoof later. We had to put him down. Now the problem is he was my 5 yr olds horse. We haven't told her yet that he is dead, we keep telling her he is in the field when we go to the ranch. How can we tell her what happened?

I want a pet that i can show off to friends and that is unique. Not like any dog or cat, but like a unique pet. A dog, if it's really good, but doesn't shed. My mom hates dogs that shed, bark and whine a lot, and aren't potty trained.

My sister horse collasped. Called the vet and she told her to go online. That there is testing you can do through mail with hair samples for horses. Vet said it sounded like seizures. Does anyone know where she can look online for somewhere that does this testing?

I really want to work will animals, but not at an animal shelter, or humane socity, because I hate to see stray dogs, and injured dogs.
(I also don't want to be a vet.)
