I rescued a chihauha that had been hit by a car,and he sustained a broken left femur,and i don't have the finances to pay for the surgery that he needs.And i am trying to find a way to pay for it because i am going to keep him.

I do not know of any charities, but check out www.carecredit.com It is a credit card for medical emergencies only, and they have pretty low interest rates with a interest free payment period, depending on how much the bill is. We use it for all of our vet emergency bills

Did you get him from a rescue organization? If so, they should try and help you. If not, find a local chi rescue if there is one in your area and see if they have any ability to help. You might be on your own though. See if you can work out a payment plan with the vet.

have you tried to google? or check with the chi rescue in your area? or is that you? i wish i had more answers cause i am a huge chi lover. call local vets and ask them if they know? call ASPCA or humane society? maybe take up a collection at an event? around here people put a jar with a picture of usually a person whoneeds money for doctors, but i would put in my quarters for a dog too!!!! i hope you find what you need! It might be a long shot but can you get this story in your local paper in the form of and editorial written by you? Say you badly need help with medical expenses. This is a very good cause and I applaud you. Check and see if your local newspaper is online. Many times you can do the editorial online and send it straight in. Good Luck to you and your new dog.
