My fiance and I lost a kitten around chritmas time, and my parents got us one as a gift. He is adorable and knows it. He is 9 months old and still the size of a kitten and acts like one too. He now shreds everything and wont stay off the tables and taught our well behaved cat how to be bad. They shred rolls of toliet paper, paper towels, bills or papers on the table, napkins paper plates. THey find it they shred it. Is there any way i can teach them "no" without being cruel? Spanking them hasnt dampered their bad behavior, what will?!?! My fiance is threatening to get rid of them. Any advice animal lovers?

I'm getting a few baby mice and I need a tank for them. How much does a 10-20 gallon tank with a lid cost? I really want a tank from All-Glass because they have built in lids that lock and worked really well when I had a rat, but I have no idea what happened to that tank. Does anyone know how much one of those tanks cost?

My male rat has had dandruff, and while I have not noticed him scratching himself, he has little sores on his neck and shoulders. I thought it was due to the dry Maine winter air, but last night he curled up and let me scratch him all over for a long time (and he is usually not cuddly - he was a rescue and is still getting used to nice people). We use recycled paper fluffy-stuff bedding - I can't recall the name of it. He has a well-balanced diet with fresh fruits and veg, and the standard mixes. What can I do to make him comfortable? What might be causing this?

Hello all I was just wondering if for a standardbred trotter off the track what is easy to use to train it to canter and trot properly, a western or english saddle, I think western more because it gives them more length for there legs to reach out but then also English is good to get the bend and collecting of the trot and canter in there so I am leaving it up to you all what is better to train a trotter under!?! this is my first trotter ever so I am being careful not to hurt her. thanks!

He is a very large, long haired, white male, 9yrs old. Big softy with i little attitude! He arrived at the shelter with the name of skitzo, which i thought was a terrible name for him, he deserves something much better than that. Can think of lots of girly white names but not for a boy. And no am not calling him Barry.

What are some of the hurdles (legal or otherwise) to obtaining a panda from China or a zoo? Let's assume a budget of under $1 million US. Alternatives for over $1 million also ok if it just isn't possible for less.

Best answer should include a general check list of things to do and should not include "how to capture a giant panda in the wild."

note: this mostly just to understand the process.
