I gave my dog to this lady who I hardly knew because of a friend's reference. The lady said she'd give me one of my dog's puppies, but wouldn't give her back even with a replacement! At the time I gave her to the lady I felt she might be about to go back into heat, but the lady says it only happens like once a year.... That's bogus.
How often is it that smaller breed dogs go into heat? Should I take her to court for her promise to give me a puppy?

My partner and I have two house rabbits which are three months old and have formed a real bond with each other. We went to the pet shop for some supplies today and he saw another baby bunny and was determined to buy it but I stopped him. My question is would it be safe to introduce a rabbit so small to an already established group? Or would the younger rabbit be bullied by the two elder ones?

My partner and I have two house rabbits which are about three months old now. Unfortunately, they have destroyed most of our furniture through chewing. I have given them lots of wooden toys to chew on but still they go back to the furniture, is there anything I could put on the furniture which would repel them? Also, recently they have become very skittish and do not like being handled at all. I would like to go back to the time when we first got them when they would come to us to be picked up and cuddled. I realise once that we have them spayed they should calm down a bit but until then how would we go about calming them down and letting us handle them again?

Horses are pretty filthy animals.
I am asking this question though:

If a horse does it's business while walking, should the owner pick it up or be fined?

I think so.

Its foul and not good for anything. If dog owners have to pick up the mess their dog makes in the street, horse owners should too.

If a dog owner doesn't comply and gets fined, horse owners should be fined also.

I think she just had 3, it's hard to tell because of all the fur over them. But I don't dare to touch anything yet,I heard it's good to wait a day or so, is this right? But I need to peek to see how many there are, and if they are all alive, would the mother defend them, or eat them if I go around the babies then? She's really good so far. Thanx!

...that was sick/incontinent/less friendly towards family or visitors?
I don't mean putting it to sleep or abandoning the animal, but finding a shelter or pet rescue versus keeping the financial and daily responsibility if you felt you really couldn't do it long-term.

My friends dog was killed but we don't know how. We believe he was poisoned. But what kind of poison, if poison, could have caused the death. And, can any household products be used as poison to kill animals, like big dogs?
