you can also put triple antibacterial ointment on the cut it wont burn as much as the perioxide. Is your female pregnant? why did she bite him usually thats what it means.

You need to carfully take him out of his cage and wipe the wound with a wet cloth you can take proroxcide with a Q tip and rub it on the wound it will not hurt him i have always raised gerbils and hamsters even rats my gerbil got his foot burned on my furnace when he got out of his cage and thats what i did it will take a few weeks to heal hunny but it will be ok all my animlas lived to be 5 years old just make sure that you do it atleast once a day to keep it from getting infected dont worry his eye should be ok a film means that it trying to heal itself. Its also a good thing to but a clean sock in his cage for him to lay on it will make him feel safe and he will rub against it to clean his wound i hope this helped if you have any questions or need more help email me

If you have a vet for him, call her up. And unless your female hammy in heat and your trying to breed her keep them in seperate cages.

don't use peroxide because it breaks up the tissue that's already scabbed over. use neosporen instead, and keep them separated.
