Thats what hamsters do ! They are always trying to escape !! And they sometimes do so be careful ! They are smart enough to chew there way out too ! Sometimes no matter what you do they will escape !! You can give her treats and chew stuff but they still will try to run away no matter what !!

From my experience of owning hamsters, their entire lives are devoted to trying to get out of their cage. And a lot of the time they were successful. I don't think there's anything you can do about it.

It's not natural to be in a cage. As long as an animal is kept in a cage, it will try to get out.

If you were in a cage, wouldn't you try to get away every chance you got?

Most rodents are not big cuddlers or like to held. Its just there nature. I have had many of them before and non e of them lie to be held.
