I got my niece 2 gerbils for christmas but she recently pulled the tail off one and decided she didn't want them anymore. I already have 3 in a glass aquarium from the same family as hers and the same sex, but I'm not sure if it will be a little cramped for them. I can't use my niece's cage as they make to much mess when they dig and I cannot afford another aquarium.

This is a serious question. I've recently adopted a small Cambodian boy - like Angelina Jolie's son Maddox - he's so sweet!! But my problem is this: Madonna has just adopted a small Malawian boy and well, I'm a much bigger fan of Madonna than I ever was of Angelina Jolie. But I don't want to have two kids around, can I take the Asian kid back and exchange it for an African kid? Or is that "not done"? I've only had the Cambodian kid for a few months - I'm sure he won't really mind. Also will I have to pay something extra? I dunno which is more expensive - Cambodian or Malawian? If Malawian is cheaper will I be able to claim money back?

This question means that if you don't have any pets and/or animals at your house then, name everybody in your original family (people that you live with).

i've had my guinea-pigs for over two years now.
when i stroke them they stay still like a statue and then run away.
when i try to pick them up they run around in their cage so i can't get hold of them.
but when i have food for them, they're not scared at all.
what is a good way of taming them?

I have wanted a horse for several years, I use to ride when I was younger. Now that I am older I feel that I have the money and maturaty to own a horse. It has been a long time since I had to take care of a horse and I needed some help. I am not sure what breed to get or what gender of horse. My husband is a big man(250lbs) and I want him to be able to ride the horse, also we are currently looking for a new house and I am not sure what acreage I should be looking for. If you could help me out or point me into the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

I think she had a seizure, too. Yesterday she was having problems walking, and then seemed okay. I checked on her this morning and I found her on her side, making biting motions and drooling. She is an elderly ferret, over 8 years old.

I would normally take her to the vet, no questions asked, but there is no vet open on a Sunday morning. Given her age, I'm afraid she'll die. I've gotten her to eat and drink small amounts(last night). She has had diarrhea(went on the floor).

My dwarf hamster is almost 3 years old and it's losing it's fur around its eyes. First it was one eye that had matted fur and subtle fur loss, but now the other eye has it too. My hamster's tail is also very yellow and the fur sticks out, and my hamster has recently become very unstable. For example, if it's eating, it starts rocking and sometimes falls over. Also, the hind legs have begun to develop a very skinny, "old" look to it.

Does anyone know if my hamster is sick or if it's just too old? Thanks

Or could it be that they each have their own special abilities, neither could definitively be considered "smarter."
