I'd agree to call around. You don't say if you're an adult, but if this is going to be a serious business, and not just something you do for the neighbors, etc., you will need to look into a lot of things, such as zoning, whether or not you are able to run a business of that nature out of your house, etc.
My husband's aunt has a pet sitting/walking business. She also runs a dog day care. I believe she charges about $40 per day for dog sitting, but this is 100% care at her home. If anything happens to an animal, you could be liable, so you will need to look into insurance.
If you are just looking for a side business for friends, neighbors, acquaintances, etc. and doing this occassionally, just check around and try to stay reasonable with your prices. I take my dog to a kennel that has playtime(2x day with other dogs). It's about $25 dollars per day. I know private pet sitters charge more.
Be careful, though. My husband's aunt had to get a separate location for the dog day care because having so many dogs at her house was getting to be oppressive(smells, barking, etc.).
Good luck...having a pet business is fun but also a lot of hard work.

Well,
1 Walk pets: Charge per dog size, strength, etc.
ex. 5 times, once around the block each, big, strong golden retriever = $20
2 Babysit them: Charge for how many times
ex. 3 times a day, yorkie =$12

I would suspect the fees might vary from region to region. If it was me, I'd call a few places who offer similar services in your area and ask what they charge, as if you are in need of the service yourself. I had a neighbor come over and let my dog out 3 times a day and feed him twice, and paid her $12/day while we were on vacation for over a week. He is a small dog and very cooperative, so it wasn't much hassle for her, although she had to be available 3x a day. I also had another friend as a back-up person if she had a conflict come up. Good luck!

you could try calling around to other pet sitting places in your area to find prices for the service that you do and then average it out and make your price slightly cheaper (at least until you get enough clients) don't forget that the best advertisement is word of mouth. good luck with your business.

depends, such as how long you are sitting( like you could try $7 an hour) and then how many pets there are, plus what pet it is.
