Do you think this horse ( http://horsetopia.horse-for-sale.org/classifieds/ad165306 ) could be trained to jump? If not, what else could I do with her if I decide to buy her.

I know this sounds horrible, but did anyone else get really annoyed with their pets after having a baby.Don't get me wrong, I still love my cats and dog, but sometimes I wish I didn't have them. Before anyone starts judging me, I'm not planning to give them away. Just wanted to know if anyone else has felt like this.

My gerbil's claws have grown out way too long (they are about 1 cm). He is clearly not able to file them on anything. I tried to clip them with cat claw clippers but I couldn't get him to hold still. Is there something I can do to shorten his claws. If they get any longer, they might inhibit his ability to eat or clean himself.

We see people rescuing animals from icy lakes, or pulling them out of deep mud, or cutting them out of entanglements. Veterinarians put in IVs, give them shots, or operate on them. Over their fear, do they have any understanding that they are being helped.

I have really bad luck with animals since moving to Alaska. My first pet (a fish) had repeated seizures all through its life.

My second pet (a rat) was killed and eaten by his cagemate when I went to visit my parents (my roommate was watching them). My third pet was a dog, she broke her chain and ran off and got shot at the large animal research station (caribou farm). My fourth and fifth pets were also dogs, Turtle went crazy and had to be put down and Ollie got hit by a car the day after we left AK to go visit family on the East Coast (our friend was watching him). Should I get another pet? Has anyone else had such bad luck with animals?

I want to buy a Collegiate close contact, but I've had trouble finding a used one. There are a lot of all purpose Collegiates for sale. Are all purpose saddles worth the money? I heard they aren't that good because they are not specifically for one discipline. I do hunter/jumping.
Thanks!

The guy at the pet store said he thought he was about 1 week, but he admitted that the woman who specialized in rodents was not there, so he wasn't sure. I knew he/she had to be older than that, and he/she didn't seem to be nursing. You can't see very well, but his eyes are now fully open.
