My hamster had babies, and unfortunatly, two are missing a leg. The mother got killed, due to the fact that my dog scared it to death, and at the moment, I have the babies in with my mother mouse, whom is nursing them just fine. One of the babies died the day her mommy did, so I only have one missing a leg. It looks like it was born that way, as it has a bit of a scab or something of the sort over the spot. They're about two weeks old, and the baby always ventures out of the nest, but I feel horrible when it falls on it's back, because it has slight difficulty getting up, but other than that, he interacts with the other's and nibbles on my hand like the others do. {It's missing it's left frount leg} Has anyone had this happen before? Do you think he'll turn out alright?

Just curious what the best way to keep kibble that is semi-moist from drying up in the bag...I've heard of dog food storage containers but do they really keep the moisture in? Is it inevitable that food will dry up with in a few days of an open package?

anyone ever got their buck neutered? anyways i was wondering about my 3yr old...is he too old? if not, will his spraying stop or at least be not as much....or do they need to be neutered before they are sexually mature to stop spraying....any advice would be great. I know rabbits are sensitve to anesthetic, but a vet in my area specializes in exotic breeds and does wonders with them...anyways plz serious answers only.ty.

I was just cooking supper in the kitchen. I didn’t know that one of my cats was right behind me and I rightly stepped on his tail. He looked surprised but he looked like he forgave me after I apologized to him.

The other day, I was looking after my acquaintance’s puppy. When she jumped up on my couch, my elbow was in the way and I elbowed her by accident. She looked like she knew it was an accident but I apologized her anyway.

And I was wondering if anybody else apologize to their pets…
I'm not crazy / I'm normal, right?

i have been wanting a mini for a long time now.. i have enough money for one, in fact ive found one that would be perfect... we dont have a barn yet, but my boyfriend said i could keep it at his house until then, the thing is my mom doesnt think it would be a good idea but she says i have to tell my stepdad and ask him if its okay if i buy one and keep it there.. i dont really know how to approach him about it because he's a hardass, and is all uptight about people haveing animals and then not taking care of them ( i used to have a rabbit i didnt take great care of like 2 years ago) at my real dads though i have horses, and i take great care of them.. i just dont know what to say to my stepdad so he'll let me.. if you even tsay the word "animal" or "horse" its like an instant "CHANGE THE SUBJECT".. anyways that was long, give some advice please! and thanks

I need some information on guinea pigs or hamsters...I've had hamsters before (4 of them), but I have never had a guinea pig. Which ones tend to make better pets? Which ones tend to bite more? Also, could I get some info on guinea pigs? Anything you want to share is fine such as whether it is better to get a boy or a girl, whether it is better to get a young or older one, the minimum, and I mean minimum, size cage you should use for them, and any other crap you want to throw my way lol. P.S. Is a 30" (length) x 18" (width) x 16" (height) cage suitable for a guinea pig?

i have 2 female bunnies.. they are about a year old and get along well together. they stay in a spare bedroom inside of a big excercise pen, with a litter box, a den to go into and want for nothing. What's the sudden spraying about, anyone know? It's disgusting like spraying poo on the wall and outside the pen. lol.

Hey everyone...I was wondering if you recommend guinea pigs or hamsters...also, if there is another relatively easy-to-care-for SMALL animal that you recommend and have info on please let me know...and if you recommend guinea pigs, can you please give me some info on them such as how to care for them, do they bite, how old they live to be, how small the minimum cage I should buy is, and anything else you want to add. Also, do hamsters bite? I NEED INFO PEOPLE!!! Lol thanx for the help in advance. Oh yeah and 1 more thing: is a 30" (length) x 18" (width) x 16" (height) cage big enough for 1 guinea pig? Thanks for all the help!
