I have a black hood rat. He is almost 2 years and a month old. I just found out he has a carcinoma tumor. The vets said it costs about $450 to remove it, which seems very pricey. The vets said there is a chance he might not wake up, but if I don't get it removed, it could get bigger to the point where it will somehow damage him. Is this price reasonable? I've heard people paying as low as $90 and the highest I've heard is $150. Also, would it be better to let him keep going and hope old age gets to him before the tumor does? Or would it be better to take the risk with the surgery. I understand if something goes wrong he'll at least stop going through any pain he might have now, but there's always my other rat. I've heard rats can die just for feeling lonely, so I'm afraid if one rat is gone, both will be within a short amount of time. Thanks for helping. =)

The next door neighbour killed his pet Dog ( lovely dog, unfortunately I was elsewhere at the time and unable to rescue the dog) in a fit of rage after his girlfiend left him( stands to reason eh). Which in the list below are you capable of killing mercifully or not ?

a) A dangerous wild Animal
b) A Human Being, healthy or seriously ill
c) A Fly or other insect
d) Your fatally wounded Pet
e) Your very lovely, healthy pet.

Back in the days when one was a young child and lost a teeth. Mom and dad's use to put it under a pillow. They would tell us that the bunny rabbit would take the tooth and leave some money for you. The solution to this problem is who can guess back in those days how much the bunny rabbit was giving out. It was a coin and the best answer will receive the reward of points.

It's actually my friend's horse that wont stop but we will be on a trailride and we'll canter or gallop or even trot but when we go to stop he just keeps running past us. We've tried a stronger bit (a kimberwhick) but it only helped a little. Any suggestions?

Why do they make the noise that they make, what kinds of situations do they make it in, and why would one make a racket at midnight? (no, nothing dangerous happened, no wolves at the door, a fire, or anything like that)!

Hi, my class have been badgering me for weeks for a class pet. Our dearly loved hamster Harriet died in her sleep before the start of the new term and they would like a new pet. However I don't want another hamster as they sleep all day and are grumpy if the children wake them up. I can't have a rabbit because I personally have a male rabbit and I don't want fights or babies for that matter!
So I suppose I want to know if a) Guinea pigs make good pets?
b) they eat the same food as the rabitt?
Thanks in advance
ps the class are aged 8 and 9

At first I thought wow thats nice.( saving birds from oil spills). but then I noticed the film of them washing a duck and later a mom penguin were "simulated" so I realized they were torturing some innocent animal all to make a commercial.... then I looked into it more and realized DAWN is made by Proctor & Gamble... the company most notorios with cruel animal testing (and also the company responsible for the lower quality of IAMS and EUKANUBA foods since they bought these foods out years ago)...
Proctor and Gamble are synonomous with crueltly.. did anyone else see these commercials and what were your thoughts???

I read somewhere that I'm not supposed to give hamsters any food containing sugar, but I also read that they love uncooked pasta. Right now, I have anthony's thin spaghettini, and I looked in the back, it says it has 2% of sugar. Is that alright?

Also, I planned to go buy them some baby carrots tomorrow. Do I just pick any bag in find in the geocery store, or do I have to look for a particular brand and make sure they didn't put any salt or sugar in it (I don't even know if they normally do that)
